Yes Palletchook has certainly achieved her objective of scaring the SxxT out of everyone.

A Good friend, runs what has been till 2019 a good a business on Gold coast, and he is saying will not survive 2022 unless tourists come back this summer in big numbers
lots of other shops for lease.
    sign of times to come…

tourism related business has been getting smashed. Our cases are starting to creep up now 5k ish today alone so next few weeks will be interesting as so many hospitality staff are in iso, so business cant even open!

Thanks. Do you think it will help?

    thansk Commish for the updates.

At this point we have Thu-Sun confirmed the same venues as what we planned past two years. Elanora and Terrey Hills we wont know till closer to as they both very private and cant book out more than 6mths.

I’ll put in a good word for you 😉

Stab at WAGC – 41 points, 30 putts, 79 off the stick, no wipes.

Should this thread be titled “How did OldBogey play”?

    Hi everyone,

Last year I had my first proper seniors moment: chatting with mate at the pub I was adamant that I hadn’t played at Kooindah Waters. He then proceeded to show me a photo of me at Kooindah Waters on his phone (ball about 6 inches from the cup on 17th which I thought I’d hit on the 4th at Hunter Valley). So I decided that I really needed a way to remember the courses that I had played, and decided to start collecting the ball markers for each of the clubs.

I’ve collected a few since, and decided to make a display for them. So I made a thing.

Now I’d like to go back and collect some of the markers of courses that I’ve played (that I can remember) and that I’m unlikely to get back to. So just wondering if any of you are members or play at any of the courses listed below and would be willing to send me one, I’d be eternally grateful. I can Paypal you the cost of the marker, postage and a beer for your troubles.

    Terry Hills
    Macquarie Links
    Twin Creeks
    Stonecutters Ridge
    St Michaels
    Riverside Oaks
    Monash
    The Coast
    Randwick

    QLD
    Palm Meadows
    Noosa Springs
    Brookwater

    VIC
    Albert Park

    Many thanks in advance.

Cool have you contacted the courses directly and see if they will help?

    Take care bro

Struggling a bit but yeah man I’m ok. Sort of over the anti vax movement I am married to especially after she got CoVID and still believing it was just a bad flu.

    Noosa Springs today
Somehow off 9 while Caloundra is 10!?!

Started really poorly with only 6 points after 5 holes
But no wipes and bought it back and finished with 33 points – 15 front 18 back

    2 birdies on 9 and 11

    Not a flag

Last game of the trip tomorrow at Maleny off 8 – hope to have a good round as I’m dropping a played to 10 flag

I couldnt figure out why I also got an extra shot at Caloundra over Palmer Coolum! Way more trouble at Coolum

Played three rounds with the SEQ crew as Nationals were postponed again this year.

    Mt Coolum 29pts (off 4)
    Palmer Coolum 36pts (off 4)
    Caloundra 38pts (off 5)

    Won the main event;)

Left many shots out there too- so maybe coming back in form, though my clubs are back in the closet till December.

Dropped to my lowest in years to 3.8. Still have scores to drop off from December 2018! Three to go till next flag too.

    Current – 31/12/21
    Commish 19 – 17
    Old Bogey 20.5 – 20
    Madam 3.8 – 4

Mads, you mentioned separately both “carts” and “buggies”. Should all such references be interpreted to mean carts?
The cart price in your spreadsheet is assumed to be the full cart price, not a twin-share nett cost?

The gf and comp fees as well the meals are full price pp and not twin share nett price.

Are you both talking about carts or buggies?

Mads if I don’t ride in the cart but put my clubs on the cart, does that mean I still get charged the same price for a cart?

What if we put both our clubs on the cart and don’t ride in it, but get someone that is not playing to drive the cart. Does that mean the cart is free??

All prices shown are per person and we need to ideally get even amount of carts/buggies so I don’t cop full price for single rider

ANNOUNCEMENT: The attached rates are indicative of Fri-Sun rounds, plus accom Fri/Sat nights. I will request rates for the extra night Thursday, if you need Sunday let me know asap, as well Howlong Round if others are interested. It is a package deal that looks to have some food spend $ for each at the resort. Its triple-share rooms – if you want your own room etc you can share or pay the full rate for the room!

It is inclusive of buggies each day so subtract the buggie fee to see costs. Im still confirming food on Sat dinner and Sunday lunch but doubt it would go much up or down from what I’ve estimated.

PM me if you are planning on attending and want to pay the deposit to reserve your spot. I’ve got a package deal plus those staying on their own plans, ill let you know the individual breakdown for each day.

Update made to venues as they couldn’t secure carts for Sunday, as well accommodation options are tricky in that area and pricey from my first searches.

Message me so we can confirm everything and to secure your place in the event.

This is an optional event for the year and does not replace the normal Nationals in Oct which is rescheduled for Hunter Valley again. Either way, it would be good to get away for a little hit with everyone. I’ve only booked 24 pax currently – first in best dressed. (The committee makes the final call;)

So many variables to fall into place to have this happen – so we will play it as it lies.

Let me know if anyone wants to play Howlong GC on Thursday afternoon? – it’s then an hour to Cobram Barooga.

Let me know what days you may be able to make it –
(Payment deadline will be by early Jan – first in best dressed- fully refundable as well)
