MadamKeymasterThe course is a glorified Pitch and Putt- well depending on the Tee option I guess.
Silly greens.
Mickey Mouse course. Not much love given from my POV.
Sorry to hear. From social media it seems like they are really booming though on many fronts, so maybe giving people what they want has worked?

MadamKeymasterIf we are Covid guest groups clear then I’m pretty confident of a positive outcome…oops that sounds bad! 😛
By mid year, Covid will be the new flu. All systems go…
Ha….the numbers will be 50k plus by then
Possibly, but as we went from Delta strain to Omicron strain, ( a lot of letters in the Greek Alphabet between those two) hopefully by then we will be at Omega strain and leading a normal ( what is normal anymore) sort of life.
So far so good Commish!
NOTICE:
Oct Nationals registration will open at end of the month once I can reconfirm rates, bookings and accom options.

MadamKeymasterI’m sure cane toads won’t worry about the weather, but I certainly hope all our Qld brethren are safe and dry. Unbelievable how much rain you guys have had in the past 2 weeks.
And another huge cell went through Sunday!

MadamKeymasterThe “de shambles” cap is awarded to the winner of the middy invitational. A ‘slam’ is won by winning the nationals as well middies back to back, doesn’t matter which order and year.
Congrats to our 2022 de shambles winner Peppas!

MadamKeymaster17 shots! Wow 😮
MadamKeymasterFinally a decent round at a damp Maroochy River
Despite 150mm of rain the course was very playable
But unusually the greens were very receptive – they are usually the firmest we play – and the wind wasn’t blowing too hard so that helped scoring3 bogies and 6 pars for a 39 front
2 weak shots on 10 left me short right in some pretty soggy ground and my attempted LW chip went under the ball which popped up right into the path of my follow through which sent the ball sailing high and landing softly about 6 ft from the pin and a good putt meant a lucky par to start the back nine
More pars and then a birdie on 14 meant I was 1 under for the back nine standing on the tee on 17 but a pushed drive that hit the path and catapulted into the water and a 3 putt meant a double and that was the end of my chance to have a 9 hole score under par – I’ve had a few on par but never below
Almost birdied the last but ended 1 over for the back so 4 over 76Down to 8.9
You can do it Weetie!
Thanks Mads
If I can start playing close to that level consistently then I might be able to move from a telescope into binoculars!
You definitely have the skill.
What “feelings” on the day can you take away and try to emulate for future rounds?
