CommishParticipantAlrighty enough of this frivolity, let’s get back and focus on the main point of my drivel and that’s to use your 6 iron to hit to the 190m mark.
If only. Unfortunately, that’s a good driver distance for me. Have I mentioned as yet that you are a BEAST!!!!

CommishParticipantNowadays I feel proud to get my 5i out 160m 🤪
Yeah….me too….
Proud??? You’d be fucken ecstatic..:)

Aah yes, but you are a very fine finder of the fairway. That would be my 4h and depending on the width from treeline to treeline, I could be in any part of that.
CommishParticipantMy best drive downwind might just!!!!! get me there. But Bump is a BEAST!!!
CommishParticipantAs they say, 70% mental, 30% tactical. Every time I have a thought process either good or bad just before taking my swing…. it happens. Don’t hit it left…. it goes left. I need to clear the water…. it doesn’t. I just need to get over the bunker… it goes in.
It is when I don’t have a thought that generally everything goes fine. Problem is, keeping a clear head is harder than it appears.
Supposedly, it should really be easy for me though, because I am continually told I am a dumb mother farker and have nothing between my ears.

CommishParticipantHaving spent the best part of the entire week watching Masters replays…FFS..1996…stop…anyway…watching Scotty’s 2013 win for the umpteenth time, I just want to say again what a magnificent human being Angel Cabrera is. The manner in which he congratulated Scott and seemed genuinely happy for him was above and beyond. The thumbs up on the approach shot to the 10th in the playoff was just the early sign. The embrace and the walk off together at the end said it all.
Angel…you’re a farken legend.
Watched the highlights of that too G-man
Ange was driving as far as Scotty and playing amazing golf. It was really emotional to watch how competitive AND genuinely sporting. He also deserved to win! There are a few on tour now and in the past that could learn a lot about humility from that gent.
CommishParticipantOk…this is pretty free format…and is prompted by Informer 3838…the latest Underbelly instalment from Channel 9.
So they’ve decided to cast in the role of the titular informer 3838…a lady by the name of Ella Scott Lynch. Now…it’s a TV show…and I understand they want people to watch…and they will take artistic license…BUT. This actress bears about the same resemblance to the real life character as a mermaid does to a whale.
And in unrelated news, George Clooney has been cast to play me in the upcoming mini-series “Goldy – The Bunting Chronicles”
But someone thought that was a good idea…..
Maybe they should have done it as a comedy/drama and cast Magda Szubanski.
CommishParticipant
CommishParticipantRound 2 under way.
says I havent qualified
You haven’t recorded a score for round 1.
WTF?
Same for me … Not qualified.
Huh?
When was a time limit put on completing the first round? I never saw one.
Useless if only 3 of you can play it now.
4 Rounds…4 Courses…3 days to play, unlimited attempts each round to post a good score.
I gather that means you have 3 days to play each round. So if you hadn’t posted your Rd 1 scores before the 9/4/ then no more tournament for you. It would have taken me 3 days and 100 rounds to get used to the putting nightmare that is WGT, hence I didn’t bother joining in.
CommishParticipantBeautiful day, sunshine belting down all day,i have 4 p3s,average length –50-metres,longest 140 mt….,I chipped all day with rest in between…..had a ball……about 800 balls chipped using the 3 hinges and their variying angles……
OK, so here we go with possibly the first offerings of ” Brownman Deciphers the Teachings of TGM. ”
Can you explain in basic terms what you mean by the 3 hinges and their varying angles? What do they help you do? Once understood, I gather they are a good practice regime.
Also glad you got to enjoy some sunshine, fresh air and doing something golf related.
CommishParticipantBlame Mouldy… he must have visited every dating sight on the planet.

CommishParticipantCarMasters :- Rust To Riches
Only if you are into car reno’s. Where these guys start and what they are heading for is quite amazing.
CommishParticipantI would really like to get out on the course sooner rather than later, though. I suspect the 19 in COVID will be the amount of kilos I stack on in the iso state. I think I’m 2 up as I type. Sad face.
I hear ya! Already added a couple, plowing through the red wine, can’t be a good thing but hey, someones gotta do it.
I was thinking exactly the same thing…. sadly with the same result as if I wasn’t lardy enough already 🙁
CommishParticipantNothing here for TGM at all,I have had more input back at ISG so I shall return there until it shuts down completely (not far off) when it does, can still message those followers…….live 4 good place..just not for TGMer so good wishes to all, hope we ALL get through this monster virus
I looked into the TGM stuff but found it too confusing and technical. Hence, no contribution from me in this thread.
Don’t be put off by lack of interaction, reply posts, or others posting about TGM. You never know when someone may stumble on something you post and it ignites a discussion. Maybe? instead of a TGM thread, you do your own journal / journey thread?
In the meantime, I’m sure you get get lots if feedback posting on GolfWRX … they do seem quite forthright in their opinions and discussions on that forum at times.
Thanks for input Hack,it sound advice,i shall think on format,I will be trying to make it simple as i can cheers
We are a simple lot Brownman, but I for one am always interested in how others see things golf. I do not post in the TGM thread because as I have previously intimated, the technical/physics side of things is above my brain wavelength. I may not understand it all, but enjoy reading what others have found. Trying to conceptualise what is offered gives me something to do in the backyard as well. Doesn’t normally lead to anything, but it is still a bit of fun trying to achieve what is proffered. Even though I know I am doomed to failure before I start. 🙁 Although there are times when something clicks and a slight improvement in the striking or accuracy will step in. Don’t know why it happens but I am certainly happy to have it on board for as long as it lasts. Unfortunately I generally fall back into bad habits and lose what was found.
Maybe if you could do a TGM for dummies thread whereby what Homer was espousing in his own vernacular can be explained in a way us less minded folk can understand would be helpful. ” Brownman Deciphers the Teachings of TGM. ” Would be a good read me thinks.
