A lot less big swing movements with the WHS, especially with the introduction of the ‘soft cap’. The thing I found strange (as did many others) was the 3 stroke change in handicap between the slope on the day. At my home course, midweek off whites on a slope of 130 with a scratch rating of 71 against par of 72 lose a stroke. Weekend off blues with a slope of 132 with scratch rating of 74 against par of 72 gain 3 shots
But I am one of those that just sees the daily handicap at the top of the scorecard and goes and plays. How it is worked out is inconsequential (and hurts my small brain) to me.Have to think about what I need to spend it on????
Lessons before and during the Summer Cup 2021 so you can win the farker.. Hopefully they will take it up to $750 and you can still maintain your amateur status.ππ.
I should clarify… by lessons I mean honing lessons to get you on song. Or maybe learn to play from the other side of the ball. π€£

Hey mate…no…playing lots…just not posting much.
Had a decent weekend with a handicap drop from 17.5 to 16.8, and splitting playing time between Yering and Mandalay – taken up a 3 month trial membership out there – essentially 7 day green fees – for $169. Absolute bargain for a really good layout.
So now tossing up whether to stay at YM or move to Mandalay in July.
Good to see you’re still trudging the course and the cap heading south for you. Mandalay., will have to have a look at that on the way in or out at the next Vic Nats.
Does a 7 day green fees for $169 mean you can play 7 days a week for zip and just pay a comp fee? OR.. you pay $169 for 3 mths membership and then green fees and comp fees each time you play on top of that?
Boo Boo’d with the 12 mths. Did the sensible thing and had a look at the website. Not a bad deal at all. Looks a cracker of a course as well.

So finished 17th overall and won $150 Γ· my $20 for the day so $170 on top of my $131.00 already on my tab at the pro shop. Have to think about what I need to spend it on????

Finished with 21 points for the 18 holes, yes, no misprint.
Hit a few great shots during the day but overall it was just crap.
And should take my GA out a bit, after hitting a record low!
that’s GolfYou have joined a very small elite group that has managed 21 pts in the past week or so.. Well Francie is reasonably elite, me… plain old chopper who has the occasional good round of golf. You will bounce back..π
