    I would say , ” He’s Back!” Well played.

I’ve definitely found with golf that every game is a new adventure and you can go backwards at any time

But I hope so – want to get back to singles

You have the skills for all the shots to become a single dig player, where some double dig players dont and never will get much lower.

What do you think needs to happen to bring it all together for more consistency?

    More practice?
    Mental?

Getting up and down more regularly partly from chipping it closer and partly from improving my 3 to 10 foot putting game is definitely part of it.

The other is reducing the shots cost off the tee. More GIR but more importantly getting almost 100% AGIR – where I’m in the vicinity of the green – say within 10m of the surface – in regulation. I can’t keep having stats of 5 or more shots dropped in the long game every round.

Those two should reduce the doubles and above, and also return a couple of birdies a round.

I’d be interested in a review

They’re good for a really cheap set of rubbish brand clubs.

TBH that wasn’t worth waiting for

    Played Headland off 12
    Course was in great condition
I had 42 on the front for 18 points
40 on the back for 20 points
    82 and 38 points

Driver was pretty wayward with push fades for much of the day and cost me a few shots
Otherwise played pretty well apart from the wipe on 3 where the bad drive was followed by a bad punch from the trees and not getting up and down with Texas through wet grass

Even better played considering you had a wipe!

And couldn’t drop a birdie putt either!

11 pars was a very pleasing statistic for the day especially as it included 4 up and downs. But they were all on the front – failed to make a couple of pretty makeable chips on 16 and 17 which was disappointing. They weren’t bad chips but on both I didn’t get the break right on the ~6ft putts that were left.

Anyone interested in a review on a 2002 model of Maxfli A10 Tour Limiteds?

    They’re good.
They were one of the early progressive sets with the combo of cavity back in 3-5 irons, what would be described now as a muscle back in 6-7 and blades in 8-SW.
They’re so good that even after this long I have zero desire to look to replace them.
Living in iron covers since day one, there’s no bag chatter even with the Ni/Chrome outer layer.

I’d be interested in a review

Better round at Headland today off the blacks off 12
    42 and 40 for 18 and 20 points – 38 points all up

    11 pars 5 bogies 1 double 1 triple

6+5 just off/14 drives – 2 shots dropped from the trees on the tight fairways there, but was happy I straightened things out to a playable fade by the end

8 GIR + 6 others close – 2 shots dropped from pior punches out of the trees. Also made my life harder with a topped 3h on 7

4/11 up and down – 5 shots dropped, 3 PW chips which is the most disappointing part as they were gettable, 1 8i chip and 1 Texas

    33 putts – 1 3 putt

I just need to maintain the driver improvement and the solid approach play to start making some good scores. Actually add to that I need to get my punch game back on track.

Round 2 of Club Champs at McLeod next Sunday – we will see how it goes

I find that I get tighter from short game practice than full swings

Good play from JD today – hopefully he can maintain his form

    I dunno
Part or golf is sharing your disappointment and confusion about why your ball goes 90 degrees sideways into the trees and finishes behind a huge root while theirs bounces off the tree and into the middle of the fairway

If you can luxuriate in your misery and cry angry tears to the Golf Gods you’re missing out on half the fun

Don’t tell me, you have Italian heritage, don’t you Weetbix.

    I don’t believe so

    English Irish mostly

I’m sure they got screwed by a few Romans..

So that would mean some Italian blood as well?
