OldBogeyParticipant’cause you’re a chopper and can’t put 2 rounds together??
For sure Francie. But we all knew that.
Actually, I’ve been putting numerous crap rounds together, but I suppose that doesn’t count. How do you define a crap round.?
Ask yourself whats causing the crap rounds… which part of game is letting you down
Do you ever practice the part of game which is letting you down at moment, such as chipping or putting (although your putting seems to be be above ISG/ L4G standard) do you practice with an improvement goal in mind.
Even playing a comp round do you focus on your process (not outcome).
I think I concentrate too much on the process when I should just focus on the desired outcome.
Unfortunately all parts of the game let me down. A few poor drives, some duffed or misdirected fairway shots, too many approaches left short and the odd 3-putt. I’m always trying to improve my swing, a tweak here, another there. The end result is some good holes and too many poor holes.Today I had 35 points, 17 out, 18 back in. A wipe or two, at least one 3-putt (maybe 2), some pars and a birdie. Too much variety.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today but this time it was finally a comp.
17 out, 14 back in, for a 31 point total. Why couldn’t I play like I did on Tuesday?People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantWed arvo / eve is our usual get together for a few drinks, and it’s my turn to host it, but we haven’t been able to congregate for the last month or so.
The news was that the restrictions were to be eased on Wed, so I may have been busy. However, the restrictions weren’t relaxed until midnight so I was therefore free to zoom @ 7:00pm. Hence I didn’t register earlier. But the jailbirds had nothing better to do, so why weren’t they in on it?

OldBogeyParticipantOB. How am I supposed to know you and Marian were attending. Did you rsvp anywhere? Sorry if I missed it
Francie. My apologies. I sent out a cxd from zoom with a message around 6pm qld time.
I have very limited experience with zoom. I assumed that when I registered, the convener of the meeting would be advised or have access to the list of attendees.

OldBogeyParticipantAnother ‘practice’ round at Warra today.
Drives were mostly good but a few went a little wayward. I did manage to get caught up among the trees on a few holes and I managed to do some holes really well.I started with 3 pars for 9 points in 3 holes then the wheels went wobbly. 3 bogeys and 3 wipes for another 6 points for an opening 15 points.
Back nine started with another wipe then things came good. 1 double bogey (my only 1 point for the day), 2 bogeys, 3 pars and 2 birdies. That’s another 22 points for a 37 point total which won the day, except there was nothing to win because comps are not allowed. The birdie on 15 (a par 3) would have normally won a ball, but not today. From Thursday, it’s all back to normal comps, bars open, etc. Country life is so much better than locked down metro Melb.

OldBogeyParticipantToo wet for golf, or so they said it would be.
Big storm clouds heading our way and just about on us, so I cancelled my booking around 8:00am. Playing partner cancelled his last night. We were promised 20 – 35 mm with constant rain all day. Still waiting for a few drops, would’ve finished by now.Yes, blancmange.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra again.
Everything felt a bit uncoordinated to start with. First two holes were ok but stuffed the third with a badly topped drive into the creek for a wipe. Made a mess of the 9th after a good drive. Turned on 13 points.
Back nine was better with 17 points.
30 point total which replaces a 36 point flag.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra, again.
It’s as though someone flicked a switch. Approach shots mostly worked better, chips onto greens were better length, only one 3-putt, a handful of 1-putts. All that meant one birdie, two pars, no wipes and a 35 point total.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantI remember watching that ‘under the dome’ series. No need for checkpoints. Of course, there was an escape tunnel.

OldBogeyParticipantMedia estimates suggest that one million Victorians will move to Qld and NSW over the next 12 months.
Before covid-19, Melbourne was on track to overtake Sydney in population in the next couple of years. That estimate is now out to 20 years or more, if ever, due to the massive reduction in employment as an ongoing consequence of the severe lockdown. They wont be moving in the next 12mths!
Maybe 12mths from when the borders let Vics in;)
You can get a permit to cross the border if you are moving to a new home.
The problem will be in selling a home in Melb. because prices will drop a bundle.
We’ll probably all have to carry immunisation certificates if we want to go anywhere, even to the theatre or footy.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantNow that we’re in spring, the wet weather is behind us, if only for a few days.
In this bloody hot weather (it was 24°) I decided to mow the lawn, then sit outside and down a beer. But too hot for that.
So, with only a dreg left in my stubby, I came inside out of the sun. Still too hot, I decided to test the aircon ahead of summer. Damned remote batteries were flat and starting to corrode. All fixed now, aircon works, stubby empty. At least the sunshine is providing the electricity, currently 2.64kW.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra. The crap continues 12×13=25.
I think I only had one 3-pointer. Putts just wouldn’t drop – three 3-putts.
