OldBogeyParticipantAn advancement for golf from today.
Cup liners no longer inverted and flags back to normal. Recommended that a gloved hand or towel be used to handle flagsticks. Still no rakes.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
Another mediocre round with a few wipes and just 29 points.
A bit breezy and rather warm (30°+), so no valid excuses.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantWelcome back Frank
Good to be back…….can I also say that the new Navigator got its first run. It was good not pushing a buggy for a change and I’m sure if I was pushing my old buggy I would have pulled up sorer than I did. Managed to only run over myself once. 😉
Isn’t that to be expected for those in your profession, Francie?
Just kidding of course.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today, with a couple of Melburnians.
My drives were mostly good (for me) but with a couple of appalling failures. Yet the rest of my game was not up to the mark.
Just 26 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantCG, it’s now ten ‘double donut’ days, as if that matters.
It’s good to see that some restrictions have eased. I can now have two friends visit AT THE SAME TIME.
It’s been months since there have been any covid cases out here in the sticks, the State of Disaster has run out and yet we are still not allowed reasonable behaviour.I agree that we will have to pull our heads in at the first instance of a live case within cooee, but until then we should be allowed to get on with our dwindling lives.

OldBogeyParticipantOld farts’ nine hole this morning. A couple of 3-points but also three wipes and a miserable total of 12 points. If iMick had been there I would have seriously challenged him for NAGA.
It was a very slow round and the last two groups (of 3) joined together for the last hole, a par 3. I somehow managed a par and was the only player to beat the 97 year old bloke’s 4. We all hope we’re still playing golf at his age.
Perfect golf weather and the city dwellers were back @ 8:00am after the ‘ring of steel’ was melted at midnight.

OldBogeyParticipantWelcome back NAGA Fans. I will not concede to being a Golfer.
1st round back – 8 lost balls and 20 points off The White Tees. No comp so bit of a meh round.
2nd round – 7 lost balls and again 20 points of the Blues. 11 and 7 or soemthing. It was woeful. Comp round so it is in GL.
3rd round – playing off 20 and it was Par off the White Tees. The cabbage had been trimmed and Gardiners Run looked a treat.
+1 and -4 for a -3 which got me under 100 and kept the GA at 21.3.Putting and short game were good, only one 3 putt. Ok off the tee, although it cost me on 16, 17 and 18 when I ran out of gas and wiped all three holes.
Very happy to be back out there, goodness me have we here in Victoria been through it these last 3 months.See ya’ll at Yering. I will no doubt be a big chance to finish last. Apologies in advance to the poor sad sacks I will be playing with.
Need some WD40 to clear that rust up?

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
One wipe, four pars, 33 points.
Rain threatened and the wind was cold at times. Snow flurries at nearby Mt BawBaw. Otherwise good conditions.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
Two wipes, one par going out: 12 points
One birdie, two pars (including the index-1 hole) back in for another 18 points.
Lots of rubbish on the other holes, despite perfect conditions.
Total 30 points. The regular mid-table mediocrity.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantRound one of matchplay champs today.
As predicted, went down 2&1.
I was ahead of my handicap after nine and was leading 2 up. But I weakened and my opponent had a few good holes, taking me to 2 down after 15, and that’s where it stayed.Although I only had to give him two strokes, his next opponent (handicap +3) has to give him 21.

OldBogeyParticipantFoursomes at Warra today. A crappy format but we had fun anyway. Neither of us played well but we did have some good shots.
100 gross, 82 nett will get us nothing, but who cares.

OldBogeyParticipant4BBBB stab at Warra yesterday.
We didn’t play well and both stuffed the same hole, instead of spreading the joy, far too often. We had trouble getting over 30 points.
One frustrating aspect: I’d have a mid length putt to do, watch another player’s ball on a similar line take a small break, then watch my ball run dead straight just missing the hole. The short return putt should therefore have been straight, but see it take a big curve away and also miss. That happened 3 or 4 times. Bloody annoying !
Weather was good until the last two holes when we were rained on.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantIt seems that Dan & Co have eased restrictions for those of us in rural Vic. We can even have a party.
“Can I have a birthday party in my home?
Yes. You can have a birthday party in your home with up to two visitors attending separately and at different times (and their dependants).”Wow. I can have two visitors to a party, provided they come at different times. WTF?????? And we’re in the country with a zero rolling average. Perhaps someone might hand Dan a dictionary so he can look up what a party is.
I’d bet that a meeting of the Labor Party would go ahead.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra yesterday.
Strong, gusty wind played havoc with our attempts to play golf.
Into the wind on 3 and my ball curled right away from the intended line and was drowned. A drop for 2, up to the fairway for 3, the wind pushed the ball away from the green for 4, on for 5 and the uphill upwind putt stopped 1cm short, all for a wipe. Only one of our 4 scored a point on that hole. That pretty much set the tone for all of our group.
No need for a ‘blow by blow’ (pun intended) for the rest of it.
Just 13 out, 17 back for a 30 point total which scraped in for a ball DTL.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
