OldBogeyParticipantMM stroke/putts with Olinda @ Beacy yesterday.
With the forecast rain, I wonder why I went at all.
I was pleased with my drives with most being straight up the guts. But the rest of my game could’ve been better with a couple of blowout holes. Two 3-putts didn’t help either.
Nett 79, 31 stab points, 31 putts.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantCorrection: 33 putts, not that anyone cares.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
Good drives, rest was crap.
Three 1-points on the front and only two pars. 16 points.
Three wipes on the back nine and just 2 points per hole for the rest. 12 points.
34 putts, there was a 3-putt in there. We were not under pressure from behind, so each hole was putted out. A wipe doesn’t mean 0 putts.
The stuff-ups are frustrating, but that’s golf.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
I had a couple of early 3-putts and mostly 2-putts afterwards, total 35 putts.
Four pars on the front but a wipe on 8 (severe 2nd shot hook with hybrid) and too many 1-points meant 17 points on the turn.
On the back, a wipe on 14 (another hybrid hook 2nd shot into hundreds of fallen chestnuts lost the ball) and two doubles with no ‘good’ holes totalled just 13 points.I had numerous good shots including straight drives but just couldn’t capitalise on them. Putting didn’t help.

OldBogeyParticipantAnother stab at Warra today.
Hitting straighter (most of the time) and chipping them close (more often than I have been lately).
No wipes, just two doubles, five pars. All of which adds up to 38 points. At this stage, leading the field but there are still many to come in. 31 putts helped, no 3-putts.First group out….were you?
No, 9:24
Was beaten by a later 39 points.
Lost a stroke off my playing ‘cap, down to 16.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantWhat about the notion of counting your score?

I lacked consistency in my shots, some were great (for me), others were crap. Front nine scores were very consistent though, with three 1-points and two points on all the other six holes. 15 points.
Back nine had more variety with two wipes and a few pars, but that’s just 13 points.
The Miscore app now lets you count putts, so I turned that on. Only one 3-putt and a total of 32. I think the notion of counting putts encourages me to try a bit better.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantI watched the full one and a half hours. My head didn’t hurt but I did nod off a few times.
All RH golfers. That peculiar cocking of the right wrist just seems to be having it face the player’s head at the top instead of the traditional face up. That results in cupping of the left wrist instead of a flat left wrist. When you watch the slomo versions of their actual swings, none of that happens.
Is this another case of changing something simple into something quite complex so they can suck you in ang get more money from you?
On the other hand, those guys appear to know a lot more about swinging a golf club than me and bandongolf reckons his version of it has helped him.
Are you going to ask for a refund on the money you paid to watch their hour and a half video?
I didn’t pay any money, but I think you’re supposed to be a subscriber to get to that page (not in the menu).
Perhaps they should’ve paid me for my time?People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

11 out, 15 back for 26 points.

OldBogeyParticipantMonday was the oldies’ nine hole stab.
It was a lovely morning, quiet, peaceful, no wind. Everything was fresh and green. Perfectly set for a great score.
Last week with them I had 23 points. On Sat I had 20 points on that nine. But on this occasion I racked up just 11 points.Yesterday was the regular stab at Warra. 18 out and 18 back for a 36 point total.
That means I now have two 36s in my 8 flags and lost .1 off my ‘cap. Another couple of months and my anchor point will be drifting out.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
