OldBogeyParticipantOldies’ 9-hole this morning.
Two 1-points, two 3-points for an 18 total.
At least the damp greens were back to slick normality instead of being like glass. But some pin placements were still teetering on the edge of sanity.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantI’ve actually got mine a tad over 18, but it’s probably a brief sojourn.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
29 putts sounds alright, but everyone was whingeing about the slick greens and bastard pin placements. A very soft downhill putt would just keep going until it fell off the green. A side-slope putt would turn at right angles and roll off. Uphill putts would keep going past the hole, then you’ve got the downhill problem. The pins were placed near edges where the slope was greatest.
It was only 29 putts because all the others were from off the green.
25 points was mid-table mediocrity. All players in my group were playing off 17 and the others did worse than me.Yes, Micky, your handicap is now lower than mine and I’m not doing anything about it. When we get to June, I can start dragging my anchor out of the mud and get to play off a fairer handicap. Maybe.

OldBogeyParticipantIt’s just not fair sometimes, some people seem to have all the bad luck
We did get a smidgeon of drizzle and a bountiful top of 17°. That should make Bumpy fell a tad better. But we would’ve had no more than 1mm, compared to Cairns’ 500mm.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today. How’d I play? Crap.
A couple of nice drives, only one 3-putt. 30 putts all up, but only 22 stab points.

OldBogeyParticipantI would have sworn (I often do) that I wrote about Vets game at Berwick-Montuna yesterday but it doesn’t seem to be here, so perhaps it didn’t ‘submit’. Oh well.
Vets at Berwick-Montuna yesterday. A good course in great nick, short but tight – accuracy is paramount. 27 points.Moving right along.
Par plus at Warra today. Everything was going swimmingly until the cold front with rain hit around midday. Greens were twice as fast as B-M yesterday. I had trouble adapting. Two 3-putts, only four 1-putts. Only two ++s. Lots of closely missed opportunities. End result was -7. Came in like a drowned rat.

OldBogeyParticipant4BBB at Warra today.
No wipes but a few close shaves. We each got our name on the card 9 times, with 2 pars each, but not enough 3-pointers.
39 points – well off the pace.Good if it was just your score….crap for 2 of you..
Yesterday’s winners had 47. 19 pairs had better than 40.
So, yes, our score wasn’t much.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantFair enough Francie.
But the question is “How did you play?”, not “Did you play well?”.
For most of us, (except Muzz) playing well is an all too infrequent event.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
No rain but the brisk wind was blowing balls off greens and interfering with our shots a little.
A couple of wipes and only a couple of pars. Only a couple of 1-putts to match the two 3-putts.
I had opportunities. On the par 3 15th, my tee shot finished just a few feet from the hole but my straight up the hill putt missed the hole. On the index-1 13th I was on for 2, a very rare event, and the wind nearly succeeded in blowing my ball off the green leaving a fairly long uphill putt, but mine finished a few inches short.28 points.

No multiplication results out yet with half the field yet to post theirs scores. We had some 6s but no 9s or 12s that are needed to win such rubbish.
I had 33 points individually with 31 putts. One wipe, only two pars.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

OldBogeyParticipantVictorian Veteran Golfers Association, Eastern Zone Challenge at Yallourn today.
Basically, that’s all clubs east of Melb: East Gippsland, Peninsula, South Gippsland & West Gippsland.
West Gippsland won by slim margin from South Gippsland.
How did I play? Crap. 29 points.
But it was nice to accept the trophy on behalf of 13 clubs in West Gippy.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
