Weve been watching all the Adam Sandler movies again – the kids don’t mind watching a second time!

    Waiting on final Vikings episodes
The Punisher was good action if you don’t mind a little violence.

Well Covid is having its effect in our manor.

Like Goldy, our dog McIlroy has had more walks in the last week or two than ever before, and jobs are being done left right and centre, on those non work days.

Work for me as of 5pm today, is now officially in “hibernation”, so we will be “open by appointment only” for the foreseeable future.

Needless to say, if today was any indication at work, I’ll be getting plenty of time to swing a club (played a simulated Royal Melbourne today in between stocktaking duties, and found it to be much better than the real outdoor course).

Hmmm, I might have a round at Pebble Beach next ….

Come on over to WGT and you can play Pebble Beach relentlessly from the comfort of your lounge room…or wherever your computer is set up.

    An no dress code whatsoever!

Mac used to practice at the range I practiced at in Los Angeles. My mentor pro at the time had Mac caddy for him back in late 60;’s or ’70s Some funny stories.

Mac used to practice at the range after dropping his wife off for medical stuff. We watched him hit left and right-handed drivers off the deck. perfe3ct either way he hit it. I wish I would have taken more notice then, I was still early in my game development and didn’t really know who he was.

I would agree that its right to feel somewhat fortunate to be able to play golf, whilst others cannot enjoy their sports.
Cycling / running is the only other sports that remain acceptable.
I’m going to enjoy the chance to play.

I add that for some people exercise (golf or other) is essential to their well being both physical and mental πŸ™‚

Spot on the exercise part is definitely the walk and dare I say even if in cart. I’ve heard from clubs with older members that are still coming out to play as its all they have- wifes died or whatever. It’s their one outlet of normality each day or a few times each week. The over 70 issue was not a concern for them.

The mental exercise and some minor social connections are so important for many people in society.

If some people are contained for the 3mth period NSW is stating then we may see more deaths not due to Covid-19 start occurring.

Golf courses, by all means, look to be doing the right thing in how managed in a contained area of so many hectares!

Unfortunately, golf has had a different perspective form nongolfers- ie for rich people, entitles etc instead of the message now should be the benefits, helping people get through this pandemic intact, creating stronger bonds between people etc.

It’s also the possible difference for many to keep a job of some kind or not.

Many clubs will close and not open again ever is my prediction.
