Dear Mads. So here’s the thing. Put me down for one of everything. I may be there. I may be not. But more importantly you guys are in the top twenty of the top twenty people I know. If I have to drive myself I will participate. If I have to go with bump, I’ll put up with the pain. If I have to be the second best looking guy in the car behind Nathan I will deal with it. This is too important. If anyone misses this based on cost alone they have missed the point. I have 3m frequent flyer points that says you no longer have an excuse. Also, we’ve got decent pricing for shared accom, or your own if you like, BUT make sure you advise ASAP if you haven’t already. We can’t guarantee we will have the rooms available in a few months.

Got an update from the tour operator that Mads and I have been speaking to today.
The good news is that rooms have been reserved for us. No deposit required just yet, and should covid intervene we will be off the hook even at only 24 hours notice.
The bad news is that the rates have gone up. Jimmy Barnes is playing that weekend in the Hunter and its a very busy time of year.
Here are the rates directly quoted from todays correspondence:
4 nights (Wed – Sunday)
$520pp (4 share within a 3 bedroom apartment)
$692pp(single share rooms within a 3 bedroom apartment)
3 nights (Thu – Sunday)
$425pp (4 share within a 3 bedroom apartment)
$566pp (single share rooms within a 3 bedroom apartment)
2 nights (Fri – Sunday)
$330pp (4 share within a 3 bedroom apartment)
$440pp (single share rooms within a 3 bedroom apartment)If you book direct with the hotel the price would be around 40% more for that weekend
It is what it is. The accom is first class, but not cheap. At least we would be in the same place as a big group.
If this pushes anybody over the edge and you wish to find your own accom, by all means do so. Just let me know if you go elsewhere.We will group people as best we can, or let me know your group of 3 or 4 as some have already done. As stated previously, I expect to be asking for deposit money mid-year, and for the whole deal to be cut off shortly after.

I found playing with the ankle tracker upset my balance last time so I haven’t worried about playing while I needed one. And day release equals anklet bracelet.
