Masters Champion 11/4/2022Stableford yesterday at Settlers Run. Playing off 10 for the day and all starting on the 10th hole.
First nine – 19 points (40 OTS)
Second nine – 12 points (47 OTS)31 points
A couple of silly brain farts and with a 4 putt …..my only wipe on the 8th hole (par 3)
Such is life….off to one of my favorite courses at Cranbourne next week.

Masters Champion 11/4/2022As an adjunct to today’s report, the cops had set up a breathalyzer at a roundabout on my way home, both on Saturday and today. On both days all I’d had was coffee and both times they just waved me through without testing.
That’s a shame……pity they didn’t put your trailer for your cart off the road. You might have to walk then. 😉

Masters Champion 11/4/2022MM yesterday at Southern off the blue plates and rating had me off 11 for the day. Shot gun start due to VW Scramble on before us. Hit off on the 15th….stroke and counting putts.
Front 9 – 44 OTS
Back 9 – 44 OTS88 nett 77 with 14 & 17 putts (31)
Had some really bad holes that ruined a good score –
9 on the par 4, 2nd hole
6 on the par 3, 12th hole
7 on the par 5, 7th holeA birdie on the 9th and a few good pars.
A mixed bag but a slight move from 8.7 to 8.6 and a flagged round.

Been a lean year for you Pete with only 20 rounds in 12 mths. To have dropped 3 shots of your cap is a pretty fair achievement then.
It would be fair to say, I don’t think Dan helped him out that much last year.

Just imagine your handicap if you played more than 1 game every 3 months or so. 🤷♂️😄
I just do what I can to make sure it doesn’t blow out.
I’m simply trying to maintain my vanity handicap for as long as I can and if that means staring at my clubs in the garage everytime I walk past them, getting sad thinking how good it would be to play, I just convince myself that I’m doing it to keep my handicap where it is.Yep…..just play in “comps” when you have a good round and screw the card up if you have a bad one. 😉

Masters Champion 11/4/2022Stroke and counting putts at Eastern yesterday (South course) Playing off 10 for the day but also playing scratch matchplay against a guy off 6. The course had been set up for their Clubbies last weekend so tough pins and quick greens.
Front 9 – 47 OTS
About 5 down in the match. Too many silly duffed chips 🙁
Back 9 – 41 OTS
Putts 3188 nett 78 won me a ball dtl as the scores weren’t great with the difficult conditions.
Lost the matchplay 4 & 2
Chipped in for birdie 3 on the last….so not terrible but the handicap bounced back out to 8.7. Funny but this game knocked out the 20th game which was also at Eastern 12 months ago. That day I had 39 points so any wonder my handicap dropped out again.
