34pts today, golf is great!!!
I got back “on the horse” on Thursday at Moonah Links (open course)……..first game after the Murray trip. 14 on the front and 21 on the back off 11. 35 points got me nothing but a little bit of self pride….

Masters Champion 11/4/2022Golf on a nice day with mate at Cowes. Haven’t played there since pennant final in may last year .
tough course as Kikuyu grass just grabs ball making running chips more difficult, really all over place at sorts day 90 OTS = 28 points.
OTS match play we finished square, after being 2 down with 2 to play and finishing par par . Some good golf and some poor golf by our standards, but it was a good sparing session for him as he prepares for upcoming pennant season at his new club

Next 2 weeks: fish on good days and golf on not good fishing days, baby sit and play with grand children other days

Masters Champion 11/4/2022First syllabus round at Southern yesterday. MM stroke round and counting putts off the back markers. Shotgun start on the hardest rated hole on the course…..14th. Par with a good up and down with one putt.
Front 9 – 45
Back 9 – 4388 less 12 hcp gave me 76. Winner was nett 70.

Second round of Summer Cup at Southern today.
21 front nine
14 back nine
No wipes but too many one pointers on the back.
35 will be one of the “banked” rounds as it’s best 3 of 4 rounds.Last week had 16 and 13 for 29.
Hopefully I can put a couple of 30 + rounds over the next two weeks to get decent money in the pro shop.

Masters Champion 11/4/2022First game back with VPGC since lockdown finished. What could have been better…..at Portsea GC, sunny and a light breeze and about 27 degrees. Stableford off 9 hcp and managed hitting off on the 1st hole…..shotgun start.
15 and 18 for 33 points. (The winner of the perpetual trophy had 37 so not far off.

I did actually……even registered….but with 43 EOI and no guarantee Sue can get away for that period…we decided to be closer to home.

Masters Champion 11/4/2022First time I had a club in my hand since July……played Beacon Hills yesterday, in preparation for VPGC syllabus starting next week. Bogeyed every hole except 2….but no doubles or more. 45 and 43 for an 88. Short game has dropped away with the lockdown so need to spend a little time chipping before our game next week at Portsea.
