I played with my mate Geoff at the Executive course at Adelaide’s Westward Ho Club , near the airport.
The par 3 & 4 course suits the beginner golfer. Geoff scored a birdie, so maybe he is more accurately described as a high handicapper now. I was playing with a partial set of Tour Edge hybrid-irons. I found them more draw biased than the Cleveland version of that style I was using the week before. It means that I have to aim 10 m right of target.
it was good fun and we got to check out lots of aircraft taking off and landing.

    Whats an aircraft ?

Monday golf in warm sunny skis with a mate, who haven’t seen for 15months, at one of his home town courses.
We played for our traditional trophy. which is a nice bottle of red.
Game was good on the fast greens, and ball sticking good.

35 points 82 OTS but lost 2&1 match play as my mate played very well .

my game not too bad considering not been playing much but did not have touch on short chips around greens, and this cost me at least 3 shots and the bottle of red.

oh well not to worry, we had a good fun day and a few laughs as we sat down for a glass of the reds at the café, after the game
good day was had by all.
planning another challenge at a neutral course, hopefully we can get this in before Christmas rush and with weather improving next week this could be a good way to end the year..

We wake to the news, now have the new OHmygod strain…suddenly floating in the air of all golf courses all around Australia
Massive panic will ensure as quickly, .Everyone into the underground bunker, and put your special designer label PPE gear on and stay their for another long extended lockdown until Scomo, dictator Dan and Pallet chook tell you to come out.

The script is sounding more and more like a James Bond movie.

350,000 plus people were at the rally on Saturday in Melbourne, to protest against these future lockdowns and loss of our freedoms and our Children’s freedoms.
same rally had 100, 000 plus people in Sydney and Brisbane.
If you watch stream media you may not have even seen the story. or seen one saying 1000 protesters were there BUT its real

On again this weekend, in your capital city and going to be bigger and bigger numbers each week until people wake up or the movie ends

Havent been playing much on course golf of late.
What with travelling around in our van, working on finishing a big project for a client,(you know the one which starts as 1 day per week to help them out and becomes 4 days)
Back and forward between the daughters and enjoying grandkids on coast and then in van again and off to other daughter and her grandkids on her new farm.
also back and forth in meetings planning the new house, mowing new block ,sorting out shxt with councils.
lots of running around finally meeting friends again for BBQ’s and a bottle of red etc..
Weathers been so cold and wet and shxtty and on the good days been enjoying fishing more with son in law unfortunately golf has dropped off a bit. 4 games in last 4 months (hitting lots of practice balls on the farm its best practice fairway ever.) had 92 last week but it didnt matter..

Our plans after Christmas is to go golf along country courses and travel as far North as we feel like going, far away from Virustoria..
No fixed plans Just follow the sun and wind with fishing and golf as we travel in retirement.. go and see our son in Qld and then
Who knows where we might end up and if we like it so much we may never return….well at least until the house is finished But even then we will see..

Another 18 holes at Bright today. It as busy with lots of social golfers ( slow) . The course is fairly forgiving off the tees with wide well grassed fairways and few trees that over hang the fairways. I still struggled with the faster and concave greens. I three putted a few times, when the first putt rolled up to the hole, slowed, but then kept rolling down the slope. The scenery is stunning. It got a bit warm again for me at 27 degrees. After 6 months of gloom and wind this still warm weather takes a bit of adjusting to.

Bright is one of the many courses I have yet to play and certainly on my tour agenda for our golfing trip up north along Murray and beyond after Christmas.

I was going to play today, but too wet for carts.

Lovely sunny day 22 deg at the home of golf.
greens are recovering from big coring a few weeks ago and still a little bumpy to practice putting.
fairways were soft in spots but overall in good condition.

Practice today was missing green and playing the Par 3 , game from inside 50m. Wet bunkers were out first time but that’s all.
chips with 3w, driver and hybrids were good to inside 1m on 4 occasions.

next practice is Sunday, which will be a 5 club game

Lacklustre performances; reflecting our mood or the weather perhaps.

What did we do in lock down .thanks for asking

yesterday we drove 100km to Port Welshpool and went on a 6 hour whale cruise around Wilsons Prom.
absolutely perfect day on the water, very slight breeze. spectacular scenery
fantastic day saw heaps of dolphins, seals feeding birds, 2 Albatross and 15 + humpback whales who put on a fantastic display highlight of the day two of the really big ones even came over close to our boat (right to the edge) so we were able to get those magic photo and video opportunities.
wife and i have done 6 whale cruises over time including Canada BUT today was our best ever,..

we both asked ourselves in the car on way back to camp why did we ever live in the city for that long, when country air is clean.

on move again with van tomorrow as we relocate to our next destination,(hope they wont lock us up again).

To put this in perspective just so other golfers understand the science behind the decisions the health minister (or someone) is making

relative to the size of virus and the holes in mask this is a good analogy.
    .
wearing a face mask to stop the virus is same as using a fishing net to stop sand blowing in your face at the beach

cloudy day on the Island with patches of lovely Sunshine to help build my Vitamin D levels.
first game for over 4 weeks. Played today at Aussie Golf Ranch. A great 9 hole course.(all holes are par 3’s)
(holes range from 105m to 185m) no easy pushover course, with sloping greens, deep bunkers and water on 6 holes.

played a match play game of Vision Pro tour V (yellow) vs Titleist Tru soft
Vision played Blue tees front 9 Titleist played red tees back 9 T played Blue V played Red.

good fun match with Vision 2 up with 3 to play then hit over fence on 7th hole and held with 4’s at 8 and 9 to win 1 up.
Monday is pick of days this week and Tour manager has approved me a game again tomorrow so will play at Home of golf in morning, then baby sit grand daughter in afternoon.
