    Stroke last Saturday, nett 76.
    Stroke today. Nett 81.
Some nice sunny breaks, interspersed with rain and tiny hail. Putts wouldn’t drop. Heaps of lip-outs, three 3-putts, total 38.

    Why do I bother?

Surely you hit that one shots that made you think that you can do it.? The “come back” shot. The one that lures you back for another humiliation session.

I’m still playing golf, but not bothering to record them here. You’re the only person reading them.
My last two rounds (yesterday and the day before) were both 31 points. Consistent crap, nothing of note.

It does seem that the forum has declined. If you want to feel better about your score, I hit a 27 last game. 4 double bogeys in a row. I put it down to struggling with asthma, giving me a very tight chest and inability to breathe. I just wanted the get the game over with. It is all new to me, developing asthma post Covid in my dotage. On the positive side I was playing with a very experienced player who is returning to golf after health issues. His fluid swing reminded me of long john Daly. He hit the ball a long way and mostly in control. My” ex hockey” player punch shot style is so ugly in comparison..

38 points yesterday at home of golf. recently undertook a training program to improve 4 shots in 4 weeks.
So far the putting is better, chipping consistent if I use less loft, and pitching now getting on greens from 70m by using pitching wedge instead of thrashing a 56 deg, and now able to getting out of bunkers first time.
good game tune up for next weeks vet game at Korumburra

    Ok. Stab at Warra yesterday. 33points, 33 putts, both 16/17. 16 putts = 17 points, 17 putts = 16 points.
I’ll play Olinda’s MM at Beacy on Sat. Undecided about next week, Warra is being taken over by PGA Super Six. Might play Drouin or Lang Lang, or might just have the week off.
I’m supposed to be doing prehab exercises in prep for next year’s hip surgery, but everything is too sore after a golf day. One day’s rest then golf again.

Is Korumburra a soggy quagmire, like most of Gippsland, or nice & firm? What day is the vets event?

go and paly the home of golf, greens are back to typical speed.
or alternatively go and watch the Super 6 tournament and see how pros putt on Warragul greens, good way to see pros make bogeys on easy holes as well, makes realize that some of our shots are not too bad after all

I should mention that Warragul is in fantastic condition, picture perfect, no soggy spots.

MM at Beacy yesterday. Course has dried nicely and was in good condition. Front nine fairways are being re-done so our course was Hills back 9 then Lakes.
I only had one stab wipe after losing a ball. Stroke was nett 70 (36 points), 32 putts (two 3-putts). Medal winner had 69. If only I had one less stroke, I’d have got him on countback. But that’s golf.

MM round at Cabo, short sharp storm 5 holes in, and then ?storm continues with the putter. 96/73, 34 putts, took original one mini driver today and let out a few ripper drives. Short game worked pretty well which is surprising. Losing distance with irons, so will try the new Srixon ‘5’ irons soon. Still floating round the 22 handicap

    Thanks for reading

Down to Langy yesterday as Warra is closed to us plebs for the Super 6 this week.
The bunkers were the worst I’ve ever seen them. No sand and what was there was the consistency of wet clay. Almost impossible to get out of. Even with a 60° with 4° bounce, the club would still rebound off the base and blade the ball into the wall. Good thing I was already having a crap round when I hit a bunker on the 8th. Stroke round so I had to persist in trying various methodologies to extricate out of it. Large puddle of water in the bottom didn’t help. Another bunker on 9.

In stab terms, I had 9 points on the front, then 19 on the back.

Korumburra was WET and soggy, greens were good but fairways uncut as they haven’t been able to get mowers on.
34 points with 30 putts . finished T4 in Agrade. good chance gone
hope to see you at the SG vs West game in Feb at leongatha

Flagpole (stroke) at Beacy yesterday. Warra still being used for Super 6.
I made it as far as the 2nd last green before running out of strokes. The winner made it to the last green thus winning a ham.
