NSW Amateur 9hole Speedgolf champ 2019 & 2020 BTB ?
Interesting weekend for me. A pair of 33s at YM…Sat on the Valley (10-27) with 2 wipes. Parred 26 – a beast of a par 4, with driver, 8i layup, 7i to 15 feet and dropped the putt. My only par on that hole in the time I’ve been there. Sunday on the Nursery (1-18)…usually not my preferred layout…water on all bar a few holes…no wipes, and finished with the same ball I started with.

Does it count that I have booked my next two games?
One for a site visit during work time at a municipal course before it’s converted to a city-shaping parklands.
I have purely coincidentally organised this game to be a week before…
the second is at the Glades for the first L4G SEQ game being the last game of the year to award the winner of the 2019 Gravy Cup.That will take the year’s tally to 5.
I should really be writing a progress blog with this sort of excitement.Stay tuned for a write up in 5 week’s time!!

It was beautiful. Not a links course – very undulating with many tees on top of rises down to fairways and back up to greens.
I think it would be a real challenge with a strong wind
Ministerial approval required on that one. 12 months should be enough time for clearance…

I was sort of figuring on a round at The Flats with you and Weetie before year’s end – just saying…..
-1 today in Par. I love Par. However, for the first time, it actually cost me a point…playing off 19, birdied the short par 4 15th…a 4 pointer, but just a plus. Damn birdies!
Playing the Valley, pluses on 10, 12, 15 (birdie), 20 and 22 (up and down out of the bunker). Minuses on 13 (missed the 8 footer to save), 16 (ball bounced into the water, didn’t get the up and down to save), 18 (poor 2nd shot, missed the 7 footer to save), 19 (crappy wedge from 50 out), 21 (crappy wedge from 70 out, missed the 6 footer to save), 23 (fluffed 2nd shot, missed the 10 footer to save). Pretty annoyed with the save putts today…I reckon I’d usually be good for at least 2-3 of the 6 that I missed.
The 15th is one on my favourite holes…it’s about 280m with a water carry just before the green…normally hit driver, trying to avoid the fairway bunkers about 90m from the green, then hit a PW or 9i in. Today I flared the driver a little right (hole is left), leaving nearly 140 in with a 120 carry. Put it to 3 feet…I thought for a second it was going in.
