Played Derrimut – new 5w in the bag – went well.
80 ofts playing of very fwd tees.
    2 birdies.

What did you get on the 2nd 9 ?? 🤣

    I started on the 2nd 9 – 39 and played the 2nd 9 – 41
    So yes in total 80

    You’re a machine.. Not a bad golfer either..☺

    Great score Chief

    What’s the handicap down to?

Non-comp round mate – certain courses are still not running comps yet.
    Still on 12.7

Poorly! I had 9 holes this morning and really just wasn’t in the groove at all.

18 at Derrimut, putted “well”, however too many missing the hole. No birdies.
41+42 for an overall non-comp round of 83

    New headcover is a treat…

I was so disappointed with the performance, I did a repeat after lunch. Much improved.

Despite promises of diabolical storms, it was glorious golf weather today; clear skies, sunshine, a very gentle breeze. All topped off by a few drinks with friends afterwards.
Score? Unimportant, but 30 points, 35 putts.

People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.

I spent the morning waiting for the storm in my shed working on my motorcycle, rather than playing golf.
At 4 p.m. I went to the course at 4 p.m. for a practice 9 holes, watching a thunderstorm roll out in Portland bay and slowly move west into town, with steady rain fall.

    Matchplay knockout today.
Chipping let me down – everything short, slow greens didn’t help.
    Lost on the 17th.

    Non-comp stab at Warra today.
The way I was swinging the clubs, I think I was non-comp. 25 points, 37 putts.
Not many good shots. Finished with a 1-putt par 3 on the last hole.

That last putt was your come back shot OB. It proves that you can do it and will be back to try again.

I managed a 31 point round, 39 putts though. Not our finest hours/ performances! Oh well, next game.

First time I had a club in my hand since July……played Beacon Hills yesterday, in preparation for VPGC syllabus starting next week. Bogeyed every hole except 2….but no doubles or more. 45 and 43 for an 88. Short game has dropped away with the lockdown so need to spend a little time chipping before our game next week at Portsea.

I migrated North a few hours and played at Stawell this morning with a very nice local gentleman. I had a collection of clubs; A Nike Driver and my long Arc Master putter, plus my Wife’s clubs ( Cleveland HB Launcher irons A flex,an Adam 5 W and TM Burner 7 W ( both L flex). It take s a while to adapt to using variable length irons ( the wedges feel like toys), but the L flex clubs work OK for me.
The course was in stunning condition, firm fairways lined by big red gums and the best greens I have played on for ages. The was a bit of wind, but the sun was shining. I hit a 238m tee shot. It goes to show that run helps to get up to the green. I calculated that I was about 40-50 m closer then usual, approaching using a PW rather than hybrid. Roll on summer conditions!
I hit 6 pars, 12 bogeys for an 82.For $30 green fee and all volunteer labour. What a credit to them.

I will try out the Halls Gap course tomorrow.

The usual non-comp stab at Warra today.
I’m not playing at all well and today was no different.
29 points, 34 putts. Should’ve been the other way around.
