Stab at Warra today.
The greens were a lot better than yesterday but still need a heap of TLC.
Some wipes, some pars, 31 putts, 30 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Maybe my highlight of the day will have to be you “complimenting” me for my drive laying up well short of the fairway bunker you thought you had driven into only to find that you were just in a swale 20 or 30m behind my ball! And 70m short of that bunker.
The one where I then put my wedge’s pitch mark a foot short of the pin?
Was there a nearest to the pin on that hole?

Stab at Warra today. A bit brisk to start but glorious sunshine later.
Front nine had lots of rubbish but the back nine was much better, except for the par-5 12th. I was on the green in reg but well past the pin. First putt went past the hole, second should have gone in but detoured around the hole, third was in gimme territory but also jumped away from the hole resulting in a FOUR PUTT for one point. Bugger!!! Following on from Monday’s coring, all greens are still very soft with footprint dents all over the place, particularly near holes where players stand to retrieve their balls.Putts: 18/18 for a 36 total.
Points: 13/21 for a 34 total.If the 12th had gone to plan, I would’ve had two putts less and two points more. But that’s golf.
Next round on Sat if it’s not too wet.

Started with a couple of 3-pointers then the wheels fell off. 3-putted hole 21 then crashed altogether (figuratively) on the par-4 22nd. My drive went to the rhs rough (lhs is a lake). Fairway would have been better but was quite playable. My plan from there was to go near the end of the fairway and chip past the end of the lake onto the green. I hit the ball fat and although it went down onto the fairway, the lake was still in play. Shots 3, 5 and 7 all went into the lake. 9 onto the green and off the back. 10 on and 2 putts for a 12. That was the end of my medal attempt and things didn’t get much better. I hate stroke. Even my stab score for handicapping was an abysmal 23 points. 35 putts

My putts refused to drop, resulting in a few 3-putts and a total of 36 putts.
Whilst I did have a number of failed shots, I somehow managed to accumulate 34 points, much better than many recent efforts.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Oldies’ nine hole stab at Warra.
A couple of 3-putts, two wipes, three 1-points. I did have some 1-putts but no 3-points.

Overall crap, 11 points.Yep that is a crap score! I thought my 24 on a sand scrapes course yesterday was bad!
Multiplier stab at Warra today.
Started ok but a bit of drizzle came on while playing the 6th and my game failed somewhat from then on.
Two wipes, only one 3-point, lots of rubbish. No 3-putts, 32 putt total. But just 27 points. Partner had 30 so we were never in the mix anyway.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

On Thurs, I started ok but faded a little on holes 8 & 9, to turn on 16 points. Then pretty much crashed on the back nine with just another 12 points for a 28 total. 36 putts.
Today was the opposite. Started with a 4-putt wipe on the first, two more 3-putts and three more wipes, all on the front. Turned on 10 points with 20 putts. Back nine was far better, no wipes, no 3-putts, a 20 point half for 30 points all up and 13 more putts for a 33 total.
Talk about chalk and cheese.Today’s weather was great, warm and sunny with only a gentle breeze. No excuses for the appalling front half.

It was a bit windy, but no rain.
My putting was off today, heaps of edges, nothing falling. As a consequence, points were low.
Only three 1-putts, three 3-putts and a bloody 4-putt.
