OldBogeyParticipantM.Medal today. I might score a century.
And just for you northerners, it’s 3.7° out there right now. I hope it thaws a bit before I hit the fairways.

Let me know when the wind chill factor knocks it to less than zero. I am playing at Morralla on the west side of the Grampians on Monday. Similar morning temperatures are forecast. I think I will walk the course, or maybe jog, to keep warm.

OldBogeyParticipantVery mild out there today. Sunny breaks, currently 12°.
I did make a century: 103 for an 84 nett.
Most of the excess was on the 4th hole – topped the tee shot to just in front of the tee, 2nd shot into the dam, 3rd out, 4th to beside the dam still in the rough, 5th nearly to the green, on for 6 and 3-putted for a 9. Parred it a few days ago, usually a 5. If I had a 5 it would have brought me back to my standard 99.I had some good shots, some stuff-ups, a couple of 3-putts, one chip-in but still 34 putts.
There’s always next time. Until there isn’t, but then I won’t care.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Can break 80ParticipantLovely sunny day in Swan Hill 15 degrees not a cloud in sky and played Murray Downs today. my home course in has RR here so why not play while there.
Best course on Murray by a long way and well worth the trip
lost 4 vision balls, made 3xpars a couple of 3 putts and close to 90 although didn’t play in comp or keep score, but it was my first hit since pennant final 4 weeks ago so not really worried.
had a great time enjoying the course.Back in to Victoria tonight, then tomorrow off to play Stuart Appleby’s course at Cohuna..
then on to Rich River both courses on Tuesday and Wednesday. Anniversary on Thursday so no golf then.
my mixed foursomes partner just booked me in for Sundays game at home so will have to make our way back.1 user liked this post.

xrmanParticipantI can recall my first ever game at Murray Downs. I was new to golf then. On the first hole the wide bunkers in front of the green swallows my ball and refused to release it after 5 attempts. Had I used my brains I should have bumped it out backwards and chipped away from the bunker. Last time I played there, I was amazed that they had obviously reduced the size of those bunkers!

Birdie BlitzParticipantRestrictions eased just in time for me to get out of Melbourne to play in the Beaufort Annual Tournament. Started on Friday in the 4BBB and threw off some of the rust that has built up by not playing. Both myself and partner played pretty solid and would have played to our handicaps but no big scores so only 40 points between us.
Early start for the 36 hole event – driving into the course nearly cleaned up a kangaroo (it actually ended up jumping into the back quarter panel of the car). Way to wake me up in the morning. Anyway putrid golf couldn’t get anything happening putts didn’t want to drop, missing fairways, duffing chips you name it. Ended up with 88 (nett 81), 85 (nett 78). While the golf wasn’t great the weekend was awesome.

OldBogeyParticipantOldies’ nine hole this morning, starting with just 1° but no frost.
Five 1-putts, started with two pars, but the rest was crap. Two topped drives for two wipes.
Grand total of 15 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
