OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today, with a couple of Melburnians.
My drives were mostly good (for me) but with a couple of appalling failures. Yet the rest of my game was not up to the mark.
Just 26 points.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.

Hack2489ParticipantI’ll just preface this by saying our very own Toph should be trundling along here soon, and deservedly so given the course we played today…
Yes, it was ProAM day off the tips on the course set up for professionals. As posted, the tips play scratch 74 (par 72) with slope of 148.
That said, my played to of 12.2 has my GA now at 13.9.
For those mathematical minded, that was equal to 90 OTS, so a raw score differential of 16.
Playing off 21 for the day, I had 39 Stableford points.
Over to you Toph …

Good to be back…….can I also say that the new Navigator got its first run. It was good not pushing a buggy for a change and I’m sure if I was pushing my old buggy I would have pulled up sorer than I did. Managed to only run over myself once. 😉

Isn’t that to be expected for those in your profession, Francie?

Guess you won’t be playing off 16 again next time?

Ah, yes, but did it, the new buggy, get a roll in the sand? Upright, dry or otherwise?

OldBogeyParticipantStab at Warra today.
Another mediocre round with a few wipes and just 29 points.

Can break 80Participantfirst on course practice games, back at langy after the lock up. Played with Dancer and Rob
course in great condition, we played red tee white tee blue tee game.
started well with a long putt on first for birdie, this got me to the blue tee on 2nd, followed by a 3 putt DB at (put ball above hole no chance) which put me back on red tee on 3rd.stayed there for most of day until nice birdie on 15th
dancer played well and finished his round on red tee, after having 3 outs during day but 3 x 3 pointers saw him moving up and back as round progressed.
fun game.greens had been rolled smooth as a pool table so could roll ball nicely over surface. Not super fast but still quick down hill and across slopes.
holed bunker shot at 12th followed by another birdied 15th.
good hitting today and re visited game plan for the hole, .missed 3 greens from inside scoring zone after getting ball there nicely.
partly due to non commitment to shot. work on this aspect next round.Playing Langy again on Sunday with Wozz which is always fun, and playing centenary park on Tuesday with dancer, Bill Bradman and LI Andrew, should be a fun few days of golf

Birdie BlitzParticipantGot out of Melbourne yesterday and headed down to Portarlington for a game. Course is in great condition my game not so good. Had a major case of the pull hooks. I reckon I missed the first two par 3’s by 20-30m left of the green. Anyway something that I don’t get to say often is that my putting saved me, only one 3 putt (for par) and numerous 8-10 feet putts holed.
7 over 43 on the front, 6 over 42 on the back. Gave me 85 OTS 74 nett could have been a hell of a lot worse given how I hit the ball.

well done, a respectable score indeed on a different course.
Dont forget the object of the game. its not to hit pretty shots, its to score the lowest number you can write in score box that counts.November 16, 2020 at 8:22 pm #14175
OldBogeyParticipantOld farts’ nine hole stab at Warra this a.m.
Started on 10 and managed to do everything wrong and wiped the hole. Then 2-pointed every hole until a 1-point on 17 and a 3-point on 18. So, that’s a 16 point total.
Drives were mostly quite good but I just couldn’t gain any ground on the initial loss. The strong, gusty wind caused some havoc, particularly turning putts away.People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
