34 pts at Mt Derrimut – much better with today’s play – a few missed putts and tee shots, overall in a happy place.

Social game at Mccracken golf club, windy, Hilly.
Tough walk (or I’m too old), Didn’t feel like I hit the driver well but managed to find the green in about the right number of shots. However, I did find it hard to read the greens and left a lot of putts just off or short of the hole. Finished with 27 points, which I wasn’t overly unhappy with, considering the wind.
Great Views of the surrounding area.

First hit back post hard lockdown. 9 Holes around Northcote Public Picnic Grounds/Golf Course. Golf was pretty putrid especially given I was starting to strike it really well before lockdown but it was just great to be out making the most of it.

One birdie, 3 pars and +7 on the other 5 holes.

    Stab at Warra today.
One wipe, four pars, 33 points.
Rain threatened and the wind was cold at times. Snow flurries at nearby Mt BawBaw. Otherwise good conditions.

Golf at Churchill Park with Bill Bradman yesterday.
fun day, lots of good shots, decided to play from forward tees and play aggressive golf, and making a few more pars but ending up in some wild places with missed approach shots, lost at least 3 balls in long rough.
chipping still not sharp but will improve with more play. Putting getting feel back.

Bill lived up to his Bradman name with a nice 100. he is learning to use less loft on chipping, ie with hybrid and 7 irons rather than LW. results getting better.

Centenary park tomorrow with Dancer, where the game will be red tee, white tee, blue tee then finally back to Langy next Friday

Monthly medal – stroke at Warra today, also round 1 of clubbies.
Nett 75 – well off the pace.
A birdie and some pars, but also two 7s.

I’m in B grade for clubbies this year, so no hope there.

Old farts’ nine hole this morning. A couple of 3-points but also three wipes and a miserable total of 12 points. If iMick had been there I would have seriously challenged him for NAGA.

It was a very slow round and the last two groups (of 3) joined together for the last hole, a par 3. I somehow managed a par and was the only player to beat the 97 year old bloke’s 4. We all hope we’re still playing golf at his age.

Perfect golf weather and the city dwellers were back @ 8:00am after the ‘ring of steel’ was melted at midnight.

I played like an old man at the Glenelg Vets at Casterton. Scored 96 / 27 points with three wipes. Having signed up 50 or so members before the game, and no practice my expectation were low.

I had been playing in Mt. Gambier over the weekend with my mate from Adelaide. He is a learner and it tends to be a slow-ish game. It should have prepared me for the Vets, because we were stuck behind the slowest group in the field. Oh wel,. the weather was nice and warm ( too hot actually) with just a little breeze to take the edge off the sun.

My tee shots were erratic. I was stubborn and should have set up for my swing of the day, but instead I pushed a lot of the shots to the right on the first 9. It got better ( they moved left), but the damage was done early. My iron and hybrid shots got me close and my short game was not all that bad.

    I had fun.

First game after lockdown. Stableford at Southern playing off the white tees. No expectations……
    Front 9 – 17 points No wipes
    Back 9 – 16 points 1 wipe on a par 3 where I didn’t get a shot.

Overall pretty happy all things considered but there were some good scores so some people had been using the lockdown better than I
