More rubbish today, but instead of the full swing it was the putter than cost me

Off 7 at Ashgrove had 27 points with 1 birdie 3 pars 11 bodies 3 doubles

5/10 fairways but only cost me 1 shot
6 GIR and dropped 2 shots each from poor wedges and poor irons – well poor results, the actual shots weren’t far off

3/15 up and down – it cost me 5 shots as many of them were not realistic up and down opportunities

38 putts – 5 3 putts and 2 other misses inside 3ft – 4 of the 3 putts were from missing from 3ft or less as well

Should have been at least 32 points today – time to get the putting mat out

Fairways a little patchy and soggy in places

    How would you know?

    Too soon?

After I chip out of the trees

    how was the course looking?

    Greens were really good
Fairways a little patchy and soggy in places
Some tee boxes were a bit rough

Bunkers are GIR to deal with no rakes – personally think that the lift smooth replace option is better

But overall it’s in good knick

    The dams are low though

Another poor round at Oxley off 9 – 11 front and 17 back for 28 points and 89 off the stick

Driver was a bit both ways today which cost me a bit – 4 shots – and the thins continued to plague me

Chipping was poor with variable contact on some soggy lies and chewed up my handicap all by itself

Ah well – it was lovely to get out so noise complaining

    Yep – he struggled

I thought I was gunna make him look good last Sunday at Carbrook with 8 points on the front but managed 16 on the back even with 2 OOB shots so saved that embarrassment

    Was still poo though

Mistakes everywhere today at Gailes and had 12 and 11 for 23 points off 10

Still 5 shots better than Piggy for Poo so that’s a plus

The fade to push slice was the shot shape

Chipping remains average and longer pitches bad – mostly short

Didn’t drop any putts of note, but only 1 3 putt

    I think I only had 3 or 4 pars

And managed 3 airswings. First 2 were playing a 4i left handed trying to knock the ball put of a C shaped section in a tree

Then did one for an attempted punch shot on the last hole

Haven’t had one of those in a long time

How many adult golfers are registered in Victoria?
That’s how many votes Dan won’t get at the next state election.
You can add people who fish to that list too

You’ll need to convince someone else to.vote against him so you get to vote against him in both of your pursuits

Do you putt differently with pipes? I’m maybe a bit more aggressive on short putts. That’s all.

That’s how I felt too – but we still left a few putts short!

Played Riverlakes today. They had pipes in the cups that projected up and if you hit them that was counted as holed. Made it a bit easier. And some took advantage of it with 3/8 40+ point rounds.

Not me though – playing off 8 I had 34 points with 14 then 20. Really messed up 2 to 5 and that was the round gone.

    2 birdies 8 pars 5 bogies 1 double 1 triple and 1 big wipe
I had a big case of the fades today especially with driver. At home into the net I have been working on my body rotation and that certainly made a difference. But I went from too inside out to the opposite.

7/13 fairways – not too bad but only 1/5 with driver. Driver cost me 3 shots. And hybrid cost me 2 shots off the tee on 4. Pushed 4i cost me a shot on 9. So 6 shots off the tee is not good.

5 GIR – a thin almost wet 9i off the tee on 3 and then a wet 8i on 4 cost me 2 shots.

7/13 up and downs – almost holed 2 PW chips today. Overall chipped quite well, but dropped 5 shots.
1/5 LW chips dropping 3 shots
0/2 LW pitch dropping 2 shots from the first one getting wet
5/5 PW chips – no complaints obviously
    1/1 Texas

Gailes next week – better hit driver better

Well he is Bump “unrun” so maybe he’s allowing for 50m of run?
