WeetbixParticipantReally good
Greens were firm as you expect at Carbrook
Fairways were well grassed and very nice
They continue to work hard on it1 user liked this post.
WeetbixParticipantStarted ok off 10 at Carbrook off the 10th with a birdie
18 on.the back
12 on the front
Putted poorly, not many 3 putts but apart from the Texas I dropped on 10 I didn’t make many good ones
Chipping was a mixed bag but not many up and downsDrove mostly well apart from 2 tops, one wet, which cost me 3 shots
Very few GIRs
Disappointing overall
WeetbixParticipantMy 54 is about 6 yards behind
That’s as close as I can get
Shame there’s about 6 light years between his GIR stats and yours
Had 8 Saturday and 10 Sunday
Maybe 3 light years

WeetbixParticipantInfeed
Is that the opposite of an outfeed??
Maybe an instarve?

WeetbixParticipantHey Mads……what’s happened with the page formatting???
I like that it’s more compact
Could use a line between each post is about all

WeetbixParticipantGlad you can see an attachment!
WeetbixParticipantWhat sort?
WeetbixParticipantThat’s always the risk of trying to hit a draw around a dog leg, it turns over too much too soon and you’re dead.
At least by taking it away from the corner, you open yourself up to a greater chance of a line in.Something about that picture …
Nah
Can’t quite put my finger on it
WeetbixParticipantThere are about 3-5 holes that favour draw shape on out tree line course. Plus I want to be able to develop the skill. I can do it with my FW woods, but the Driver eludes me.
These are two very distinctly different reasons, but both equally valid.
I am just trying to get a better feel for the holes, when you say “favour” does that mean that there is a short dog leg that you need to be around the corner for a shot at the green? as in, the trees on the left hand side completely block the green if you’re still on the right hand side of the fairway or is it that it’s a better angle coming into a tricky green being on the left?Do you give any consideration to where you tee it up within the tee block on these holes, this does come with it’s own risks when the shot does go straight after you’ve aimed along the left hand edge…but still
and yep, everyone wants to hit drawing bombs with driver
That thought process is for people who actually know what they are doing and are capable of carrying it off. Us flogs, well we just continue to get ambition and ability mixed up.
Ah… but when you pull it off!
WeetbixParticipantFinally so decent scoring! 8 over 79 off 11 for 39 points at Redcliffe. Struck it well like yesterday but no 3 putts meant I converted.
Handicap down from 11.2 to 10.9
2 birdies 8 pars 6 bodies 2 doubles – no wipes
9/14 fairways – only 2 really poor drives today but only 1 dropped shot
10 GIR – overall struck the ball really well. Topped a hybrid and a poor punch cost me 2 shots
0/7 up and down – the only disappointment, just wasn’t getting them close enough – Texas was off on pace and others were just not struck firmly enough. Dropped 1 SW bunker, 1 LW chip, 3 PW chips and 2 Texas for 7 all up
34 putts – putted ok but did miss a 5ft up and down opportunity. 2 birdie putts. Otherwise it was generally ok and lagged pretty well.
