Oldies’ nine hole stab at Warra this morning.
Started with a 3-putt (all too often), but otherwise played consistently with nothing outstanding.
    A few 1-putts, the odd 1-point. Accumulated 19 points.

MM stroke & putting yesterday at Beacy.
    A couple of 3-putts didn’t help, too few 1-putts, 35 total.
    Stroke score nett 76.
It was as also round 1 of clubbies. I’m not inclined to do the next two rounds – too far off the pace.

Another stab at Warra today. Only a few drops of rain, not enough to be annoying.
Front nine was good with 11 putts (that’s only two 2-putts) to get 18 points including one wiped hole.
Back nine was another matter. Three 3-putts but a chip in on the last kept it down to 19 putts for a 30 putt total.
Even with a 4-point birdie on the 18th, I only managed 15 points for a 33 point total.

Why can’t I put two good nines together?

Stab at Warra yesterday. A bit windy but otherwise good for golf.
One wipe, three 3-putts (just kept missing them).
    31 points 33 putts

Stab at Yallourn with the Vets.
    Wiped 3 or 4 holes, lots of 1-points, only 1 3-point. End result – 25 points.
I blame it all on the early start, going to bed when it’s still daylight and getting up before dawn, in summer !

You must be a good chipper and putter to have so few putts per round OB. I would be very happy with 29 putts (= 7 one putt results per round)

All too often I fail to get on the green so I need to chip it close with the next, then a 1-putt is needed.

    Stab at Warra yesterday.
It took a few holes for the driver to learn to hit straight.
Scored the usual 30 points with 29 putts.

Stab at Warra yesterday. Crumbled on the last few holes to just scrape in with 30 points.
    A couple of 3-putts didn’t help my putting stats – 33 putts.
When I left the course, my car insisted that it was 38° outside.

    Stroke at Warra yesterday.
Nett 34 out, nett 44 back. Damnit !
No 3-putts but only four 1-putts.

course should be in good condition after Super 6 event in mid December.
BUT did you break 100 for the day

    No, I didn’t.
There’s a pro-am tomorrow, so the course is still in excellent condition.
No excuses except for the wind which affected putting more than anything else. I just kept hitting trees.

Stab at Warra today, in strong E winds.
How did I play? NAGA (almost).
34 putts wasn’t too bad considering the wind was blowing our balls across the greens.

BB stab at Mirboo North with the Vets.
My partner regularly took the honour, but far too often I was not in the hunt. Trees kept attracting my ball, numerous times on some holes.
With our 40 points, we just missed out on a ball DTL.

4BBB Par today, at Warra. Actually round 2 of a 2 day event but neither of us played in it last week.

We had +6 on the front nine but just ■ on the back. (I hope that square symbol came through).
My drives were mostly straight with good length, somewhat better than other recent rounds.
    No money for us.

    Stab at Warra today.
I wiped two holes and had a solitary 1-point, but I came home with 35 points so I must have had four 3-points.
33 putts which was an achievement in the strong winds.
