Stab at Warra today. A bit brisk to start but glorious sunshine later.
Front nine had lots of rubbish but the back nine was much better, except for the par-5 12th. I was on the green in reg but well past the pin. First putt went past the hole, second should have gone in but detoured around the hole, third was in gimme territory but also jumped away from the hole resulting in a FOUR PUTT for one point. Bugger!!! Following on from Monday’s coring, all greens are still very soft with footprint dents all over the place, particularly near holes where players stand to retrieve their balls.

    Putts: 18/18 for a 36 total.
    Points: 13/21 for a 34 total.

If the 12th had gone to plan, I would’ve had two putts less and two points more. But that’s golf.

Next round on Sat if it’s not too wet.

Not in lockdown, but I’ve been watching Boardwalk Empire during idle time and when there’s nothing entertaining on free-to-air.
Neighbour gave me season one on disks but I prefer to stream them instead of fiddling with disks.
Only problem is that there are five seasons each of 12 one hour episodes.
Part way through season two. This might take awhile.

    Stab at Warra today.
The greens were a lot better than yesterday but still need a heap of TLC.
Some wipes, some pars, 31 putts, 30 points.

GOLF is on – I can get out of Melbourne – might sit at home for next 2 days to avoid inadvertently stumbling in to an exposure site.

    So how did it go??

So, how’s it going for you, with your lockdown while Vic has donut days ?

I played golf yesterday, today and will play again on Wednesday and Friday… How often did you play during Vic lock down??🤣

It was only a Melb lockdown, those of us in the country continued our normal existence. Except for the last one where we weren’t allowed to congregate at home with friends despite no cases east of Melb.

Oldies’ nine hole this morning. It was down to 2° by the time I left for the course.
When we got to our first green, we found that the super had been out running tines through the greens and they hadn’t been rolled. On one hole, I had a long putt and my ball did a highland jig on its way to the hole. It started ok then jumped right, left, right, left, oh hell it fell in. But on another, the ball jumped all over the place and was still nowhere near the hole after 3 attempts.

End result: three wipes, two 3-points and 2 points on each of the other four. Total 14 points.
Hopefully, the greens will be rolled for tomorrow.

3.6° outside as I get out of bed for golf this morning.
    Why do I do this?

Thanks CB, but we’re looking at fine weather until late in the week and I don’t want to play in the rain then anyway.

    Stab at Warra today.
18 points out with 15 putts and that included one wipe with 2 putts added for that hole.
Back nine score was 17 points with a 3-putt taking putts up to 19.
Grand total was 35 points (best for a long while) and 34 putts (plenty of cIose shaves).
    = 3rd in B grade

Much better playing. you got a low flag and reduced your GA by 0.2

    keep up good form

Thanks CB. No prize for 3rd, just a ball DTL.
No golf today – too wet for carts despite glorious sunshine out there.

Stroke at Warra today. Bitterly cold until the back nine. It was -1° when I arose and up to all of 1° when we teed off.
Front nine: one 3-putt, only two 1-putts. Back nine: no 3-putts and five 1-putts for a 29 putt total. That sounds alright but I had a couple of blowout par 3s. On the 7th, I duffed the tee shot off the toe of the club, on for 3 then that 3-putt. On the 15th I topped the tee shot which then ran across the fairway and under the dam fence. The re-load went far right, on for 5 and 1 putt. Getting 6s on par3s doesn’t help. Only three pars and too many doubles.
    Nett 77.

Oldies’ nine hole this morning, starting with just 1° but no frost.
Five 1-putts, started with two pars, but the rest was crap. Two topped drives for two wipes.
    Grand total of 15 points.

Very mild out there today. Sunny breaks, currently 12°.

I did make a century: 103 for an 84 nett.
Most of the excess was on the 4th hole – topped the tee shot to just in front of the tee, 2nd shot into the dam, 3rd out, 4th to beside the dam still in the rough, 5th nearly to the green, on for 6 and 3-putted for a 9. Parred it a few days ago, usually a 5. If I had a 5 it would have brought me back to my standard 99.

I had some good shots, some stuff-ups, a couple of 3-putts, one chip-in but still 34 putts.
There’s always next time. Until there isn’t, but then I won’t care.

    M.Medal today. I might score a century.

And just for you northerners, it’s 3.7° out there right now. I hope it thaws a bit before I hit the fairways.
