MM stroke today, held over from last week’s lockdown.
Four 3-putts, but enough 1-putts to limit the damage to 34 putts. I did sink a few good, long putts.
Nett 72 was a whisker outside any money, apart from a ball dtl.

    Stab at Warra today.
It was a bit windy, but no rain.
My putting was off today, heaps of edges, nothing falling. As a consequence, points were low.
    Only three 1-putts, three 3-putts and a bloody 4-putt.
38 putts, 28 points. Should’ve been the other way around.

Regional Vic out of lockdown but still some restrictions.
Metro-gnomes still in full lockdown, new cases around a dozen per day.
    Olympics – yes
    Biden – apparently
    Hawks – no one cares

It was perfect golfing weather today, if only we had been allowed out to play.

I think CB80 has been travelling outside the Melbourne metro area for a while. Why would you go home at this time?

In rural areas the compliance with ” rules” is a bit less stringent. Should we start to see cases arise closer than 380 km to us , we would start taking the lock down seriously.

And I wonder how it would happen if there are cases in your hood, from someone travelling there perhaps?

Just as long as those disease ridden city folk stay out of our healthy countryside.
It’s bad enough not being allowed to do anything, let alone taking it seriously.

Well it is official. Our rainfall for July was the highest for the last 100 years!
Little wonder it is wet on the course.

funny isnt it, 3 years ago all the whacko’s were saying it was never going to rain again and yet we have had lots of rain,

We noticed that on drive down to Surf coast this morning, lots of water in paddocks and very flooded swollen rivers..
next few days are going to be fine, but most of courses seem closed, due to flooding.

    • This reply was modified 4 years, 10 months ago by Can break 80.

They are closed by state govt edict, flooding is incidental.

    here we go again…..

No, you won’t be going anywhere !

I was intending to play in a golf wekend away from next Friday, but not knowing until Thursday whether that can proceed is too late, and probably won’t be allowed anyway.

Stab at Warra, both Thurs and today.
On Thurs, I started ok but faded a little on holes 8 & 9, to turn on 16 points. Then pretty much crashed on the back nine with just another 12 points for a 28 total. 36 putts.
Today was the opposite. Started with a 4-putt wipe on the first, two more 3-putts and three more wipes, all on the front. Turned on 10 points with 20 putts. Back nine was far better, no wipes, no 3-putts, a 20 point half for 30 points all up and 13 more putts for a 33 total.
    Talk about chalk and cheese.

Today’s weather was great, warm and sunny with only a gentle breeze. No excuses for the appalling front half.

A couple of policies may help as well.

I agree but we are in the minority
    Anastasia got re-elected here
WA was a landslide for the king of lockdowns and border closures
Dan is looking like a shoe in in Victoria
Australians overall seem very happy to be locked down and restricted

No golfer in the entire state will vote for Dan and his cronies when the time comes. And nobody in country areas, wnere there have never been any cases, will vote for him either. That just leaves metro voters where so many have been sent broke or thrown out of work by his heavy handed, extensive lockdowns.

All the Libs need is a better leader and they’ll be home and hosed.
