The metrognomes are celebrating ‘Freedom Day’ which gets them out of lockdown/curfew but little else. They can go to a bar if there’s only a handful of others there. They can’t go to a retail store that’s not selling food or pharmaceuticals, but they can stay in the street and window shop.
I’m in regional Vic so I’m not allowd into metro to see my family (last seen last Xmas) and they aren’t allowed to visit me.
We could all travel interstate and meet up there, then travel back to our separate sectors.
At least I can now visit local mates (first BBQ on Sunday).

    Still no golf comps. WTF?

The usual non-comp stab at Warra today.
I’m not playing at all well and today was no different.
29 points, 34 putts. Should’ve been the other way around.

As of tonight, what lock down?

Well done all those from Melbourne! Your endurance is a thing of legend.

    When is the next election?

    The sooner the better.

    Non-comp stab at Warra today.
The way I was swinging the clubs, I think I was non-comp. 25 points, 37 putts.
Not many good shots. Finished with a 1-putt par 3 on the last hole.

Mads, you mentioned separately both “carts” and “buggies”. Should all such references be interpreted to mean carts?
The cart price in your spreadsheet is assumed to be the full cart price, not a twin-share nett cost?

    Matchplay knockout today.
Chipping let me down – everything short, slow greens didn’t help.
    Lost on the 17th.

Despite promises of diabolical storms, it was glorious golf weather today; clear skies, sunshine, a very gentle breeze. All topped off by a few drinks with friends afterwards.
Score? Unimportant, but 30 points, 35 putts.

Stab at Warra today, perfect golfing weather.
Just the usual lack lustre performance with a 20s score, around 34 putts with three 3-putts.

I would settle for becoming a instant slightly longer Driver.

Doesn’t every man want to be slightly longer?

    Played yesterday in glorious weather.
On Xman’s tip, I’ve been watching Marcus Edblad’s tips on YT on how to get an extra 100m on my drives (as if), but haven’t benn able to practise during the week. Lots of mental training on how to become an instant long drive champ. However implementing that in a 10th of a second for the downswing has proved challenging in real life, as expected.
One change I did make was to try a two handed grip instead of overlap, to give me a bit more leverage between slow hand and fast hand. I think that has helped but now I’m prone to hooks. My iron/hybrid shots have improved – I seem to have better precision with ball striking.

So, how’d I play? Not bad except for two incidents: a 4 in a bunker (I suppose I gave up after 2), and a 4-putt (again, didn’t care after the 2nd putt turned away). It was non-comp practice anyway. 29 points, 34 putts including that 4-putt.

I was going to play today, but too wet for carts.

I thought Marcus Edblad had fixed your game. Have you forgotten it all?
I’ve watched a number of his videos – it all makes sense.

That’s because it is Marcus Edblad.

    Thanks Commish.
