nope been flat out and now all the reschedule shit. We are also looking at a Feb/March nationals instead of Oct each year.

Unfortunately with the extended lockdown, and subsequent uncertainty on border restrictions, we will once again have to cancel this year’s National event and move to next year. Ill load updates and venues etc once confirmed.If you have paid me a deposit ill start working on refunds in the next couple of weeks once I get organised. Im happy to hold till next year as well if that works better.

Sad Miadam that we cannot all get together. It might be better to re schedule until 2026 at least. That will give the states time to work out what the hell they are doing.
Victorian State election next year 2022 and Dan looks like he be voted back in for another 4 year with a massive majority, so we will continue to have lock downs every winter until 2026.Other option Madam is to make the event in Summer time ,Jan /Feb when loss Ronas are lurking around.
Thanks Geoff yes a discussion about a Feb/March timeframe as an alternative and keep in that timeslot instead of OCt each year. More news to come!

It would unfortunately seem that being able to hold this very special event in 2021 will be a difficult task, certainly little chance of it taking place on the usual date of September 18, PJ’s birthday.
No doubt if NSW (greater Sydney) does come out of lockdown soon there will be restrictions on gathering numbers (yeah yeah I hear you…even at the current number of two we’d struggle 😛 ) and trying to get a spot for a group on a Saturday will be nigh on impossible. Of course there is The Springs! Hahaha.
Once we have a clearer picture of the future we will return to organizing this special day.

Yep no problem on early birds. The committee had a chat today. We will make a call this time next month. Let’s see how things are looking then. Fingers crossed it’s a go.

I still have my original putter. It is like grandpa’s axe though, fitted with a new longer shaft and grip. Semi toe hang mini mallet.
My next putter was the Arc Master (still using it) toe hang style long shaft at 42″
Then I tried a face balanced Rife mallet that I gave to Adriano’s brother in Brazil ( he liked it).
Then the face balanced 36″ Ping Valor ( sold)
Next is the arm lock Wilson Staff 42 ” shafted face balanced.More than likely I could have used any of them better, knowing what I know now.

Got an update from the tour operator that Mads and I have been speaking to today.
The good news is that rooms have been reserved for us. No deposit required just yet, and should covid intervene we will be off the hook even at only 24 hours notice.
The bad news is that the rates have gone up. Jimmy Barnes is playing that weekend in the Hunter and its a very busy time of year.
Here are the rates directly quoted from todays correspondence:
4 nights (Wed – Sunday)
$520pp (4 share within a 3 bedroom apartment)
$692pp(single share rooms within a 3 bedroom apartment)
3 nights (Thu – Sunday)
$425pp (4 share within a 3 bedroom apartment)
$566pp (single share rooms within a 3 bedroom apartment)
2 nights (Fri – Sunday)
$330pp (4 share within a 3 bedroom apartment)
$440pp (single share rooms within a 3 bedroom apartment)If you book direct with the hotel the price would be around 40% more for that weekend
It is what it is. The accom is first class, but not cheap. At least we would be in the same place as a big group.
If this pushes anybody over the edge and you wish to find your own accom, by all means do so. Just let me know if you go elsewhere.We will group people as best we can, or let me know your group of 3 or 4 as some have already done. As stated previously, I expect to be asking for deposit money mid-year, and for the whole deal to be cut off shortly after.

Would you have an interest in playing Barn and KI or just Barnbougle?
Lee and Pete Harrington go twice a year and could organise pretty much everything and make it simple process.
