The last part of your last sentence sums it up pretty well. My responses are definitely not a dig or misguided attempt at rubbishing the teaching of TGM. I guess it all boils down to “I’m too farkin lazy to take the time to try and truly understand all the technical components of the book.” Obviously a brilliant mind, but one that I gave up on trying to match. Plus, as stated before, I simply do not have the mindset to put in the practice that TGM requires. I guess if I truly wanted to be a single figure golfer I may exert the extra effort, but I fear I would be dead before that remarkable achievement could take place. I shall remain a happy hacker attempting to play a consistent form of golf off my current 15 Hcp. My goal is to try and get back to where I was
40+ years ago playing off 12. That will do me.

That is not to say that I am not open to golfing tips that may improve various parts of my game. Provided, for me, if they are simple in explanation and come with a visual description as well for ease of comprehension. I feel I learn better from being shown how something works and having the stages explained to me as they take place. That way I can at least attempt to mirror that which is being shown and explained. The one thing I do understand and try to keep in my game is the Flat Left Wrist concept.

Nice to have a proposed 9 year safety zone for the plan to show some areas of growth. Similar to Rossdale.. hahahahah.

Didn’t see too much in there in way of measuring objective milestones etc. For that matter, didn’t see any time framed objectives at all, pretty much a wish list. Over 3000 members and only 400 surveyed???? Bowls loses over twice what it makes and has done so for passed three years. Golf loses but nowhere near as much.

GM of OC should have a chat to the GM of Howlong.

Love your passion for TMG BM and all power to ya. Maybe if I was 30 years younger and still had the golfing/physical ability of that time I would be more inclined to undertake the learnings of Homer and others. At this stage of my life I just don’t have the inclination or the physical ability to do hours upon hours of practice. I just get used to having some good rounds and some bad ones. I still read things and watch a video or 3 and try a tweek or two at times whilst playing a round. Sometimes they work, most times they don’t, especially as the round gets to around the 13th hole and my hips, knees, back start going down hill quicker than Alexis Pinturault.

Hence why I say, if it can be told in an understandable manner, then I will read and try it. If not, moving on.

I do believe the majority on here are more into the TTP style of golf talk. But!!!! that same majority are all keen to learn something that may help to improve their golf if explained in terms that mere mortals can understand. I sort of get confused when golf is relayed in algebraic terminology.
