In other words, most needed more than 5 hours notice of a game..:)

Actually, I had to get my daughter from school because she was showing flu like symptoms!

    she ok?

    Temp.

    Sore throat.

    Cough.

    Hmmm.

And, FWIW I have sore throat too, bit of temp, no cough.

We had mate stay with us last night. He flew over from Perth on Thursday. Straight from airport to us.

    Hmm.

Yeah…..that makes sense….play golf to go out as high as you can. There’s a word for that.

There’s quite a few actually… none of them very nice.

It feels like ages since I last posted anything about my golf and when i went and checked, it was 12 months ago. The handicap at that point was on its way down and was at 12 something.
Fast forward a year and 2019 turned out to be a great year for my golf. Breaking 80 a few times, winning a Brisbane Fairways round, winning Brisbane Fairways A Grade club champs, and breaking into single figures, with a few other little things along the way.
At the end of Jan just before the new handicap system came into effect I reached 7.9 and felt great. A few days later, I had an operation (planned) and had a six-week layoff with a return on Sunday. It wasn’t too bad but lacked touch and game fitness and concentration.

So 2020 – continue to improve, Driver is my biggest issue, so that is the first thing.
HC goal is to get to below 6.

    Put it here…

Highlight was holing out on the 18th with my second shot from 160 straight into the wind. KawKawKawKaw

Now that is how you’re meant to get an eagle on a Par 4.

    I resemble that remark!

The only resemblance you have is that you used an iron to get to the green, that’s about where it stops though. 🙂

I also had the pleasure of being served by the young lass behind the bar. Not sure what Tony experienced but I gather it was similar to myself. Although she had the customer service personality of a brick, I have been served by far worse at a few golf clubs of less and similar standard. Doesn’t necessarily excuse her behaviour, but I guess I am just as bad, because when I went back for my 2nd beer, she was at the bar with the young bloke. She enquired as to what I wanted and I ignored her and asked the young fella for a beer. Sort of my way of saying, you may not like having to serve me, but I don’t have to talk to you either.

At the end of the day, the interaction you have with one person should not define the entire establishment. Everyone else I dealt with on that day were most pleasant and accommodating. I guess in the end, no matter where I may be or what type of establishment I am in, I don’t really give a fuck about the persons attitude toward me unless it is downright rude, as long as I get what I asked for.

Oh, and the course was a cracker.

Doh…. answered my own question about the dinner. Has to do with the date, not the venue. Forget I even mentioned it.

Apart from that myself and Zoo in for days 1-6.

Also, schedule indicates that Dinner is at The Vintage. Is it meant to be Cypress??
