How many of the following are you guilty of??

At some point during a round… all of them. Some of them, multiple times.

I’ve got priors, present and futures.

That’s exactly why we are beerbro’s.

Yeah the old home is scarcely populated at present. A few old hard heads who refuse to leave, but when the place shuts the doors as is expected they too will end up here most likely. Welcome to the new hacienda, there is a story behind this place so take the time to read why it was developed. Good luck with your endeavours to break 90. Rarely do it myself these days, but it is a good feeling. Which state are you based in??? and have a look at the Lets Play thread for the upcoming Nationals in NSW. It’s hoot and a grand way to meat the most of the zanier inmates of this asylum.

Where can I find a thread or two with the info on why this was started up?

I’m based in Vic, south east suburbs to be more exact!

Just click on the ‘About’ tab at the top in the header. Plenty of Vics in the place. Check out the Vic OOM games as well. Play a few rounds with those blokes and you’ll soon get a feel for how the rest of us are. Well most anyways.

There are about 3-5 holes that favour draw shape on out tree line course. Plus I want to be able to develop the skill. I can do it with my FW woods, but the Driver eludes me.

These are two very distinctly different reasons, but both equally valid.
I am just trying to get a better feel for the holes, when you say “favour” does that mean that there is a short dog leg that you need to be around the corner for a shot at the green? as in, the trees on the left hand side completely block the green if you’re still on the right hand side of the fairway or is it that it’s a better angle coming into a tricky green being on the left?

Do you give any consideration to where you tee it up within the tee block on these holes, this does come with it’s own risks when the shot does go straight after you’ve aimed along the left hand edge…but still

and yep, everyone wants to hit drawing bombs with driver

That thought process is for people who actually know what they are doing and are capable of carrying it off. Us flogs, well we just continue to get ambition and ability mixed up.

Ah… but when you pull it off!

You’d need to talk to Ink about that..

I tried to do one of those on Sunday. Not far enough through the dogleg, I needed a draw around trees and up to the green. The shot came off beautifully but it drew too much. If only I could make that work more reliably.

    So you hit a hook.

Just as well he drove the green though, christ knows what he would have scored if he had put a wedge in his hand at some point.

    sorry Snorks..

You must have missed this part..

Obviously I did miss that – cmon BeerBro I don’t read everything – the only wedge Snorkel is good at is a potato wedge.

Looks like it will be while before he pops back in again..(:

Just jumped onto the forum after a while…remember now why there was a pause and stop before I hit the login button. Love youse all.

Cmon mate, you know it wouldn’t be the same unless there was some shit flying in someones direction. If it will make you feel any better, just remember that being a half decent putter always put you that one step in front of Mouldy.

Pretty simple to create a “Tournament Talk” thread…anyone that wants to, can.

    There is one.. 😏

Hasn’t been a great deal to discuss for the past 3 months.
