With our lockdown brethren needing to be masked all the time in public from tomorrow, I thought I’d try out the one I purchased a few months ago, while I was supermarket shopping today.
What a nuisance that was!!!! My glasses kept fogging up and I couldn’t see what I was doing. I even bought cab merlot instead of shiraz!
I’m glad I don’t have to do that all the time. Yet.Put the mask on first and then place the glasses over the mask. 80% less fog up rate.

I forgot one
7) get good at chipping and putting. It is the one aspect of golf that we amateurs can get close to Pro level performance.Here are the 10 rules of scoring according to Will Robins.
he found with his scoring method system that Double bogeys come from breaking one of these rules.1. missed short putts under 1.5m
2.penalty strokes
3.not getting out of trouble and safely back in play
4 having 3 putts
5 Under clubbing
6.Playing risky shots, ie a shot you are not capable of playing
7 short siding on approach
8 holding on to bad shots
9 misreading the lie of the shot
10 starting poorlyHe sounds like a very insightful fella, I doubt majority on here would have thought of many of those causes.

Has anything changed thats repeatable? Sounds like an exciting direction to be headed (you will get stopped at the border currently though).
Yeah, I have upped the beer intake, that is easily repeatable and certainly loosens the swing mechanics. As for the border,,, I’ve heard that Daniel Andrews has offered to take over the border control and he will be using specialist security guards to save money, so I should be able to get through all right… I’ll just take a blow up sex doll with me as a tempter just in case. AND no I won’t be using it.

Some of the greatest ball striking I’ve been privileged enough to be the chauffeur for. Loved the day. Will always remember the surprise on your face when the birdie putt from off the green dropped for three in a row. Will say it again, that is serious golf in any language, nothing to be denied there. There was one hole you let me hit it 50m past you off the tee, otherwise your driving was impeccable.
This might make more sense now.

Played with Queensland crew yesterday at Sanctuary Cove. Absolutely perfect golf conditions which meant only one thing………… had the pleasure of watching Bump make three birdies in a row. I don’t think he got the credit on the course at the time, it’s actually really impressive the more I think about it.
Personally I’m finally getting past a frozen shoulder which has been severely debilitating for last 18 months. Definitely seeing more golf on the horizon now.

Some slightly stronger restrictions in Vic due to COVID. It’s stopped VPGC from playing (unless we can get on at our home course at Southern) Not looking good for October, now that NSW are starting to get a few now.
We will have to make a final decision in a months time
Hope I am wrong cause I’m really looking forward to catching up with all the L4G brethren at the Nats. But given that Premier Dan didn’t lift the lockdown restrictions without a fuss the first time, and he was in a better position then than now, after this stuff up and if they go to Level 4, I doubt the Vics will be travelling interstate before Xmas.

Nope… Even if you only manage the 170m once in every 5 attempts, you can bet if you hadn’t waited, that once would be that occasion.

I suppose the burning question on this one is……… how far in front were the group in front of them?? If they had clear fairways to the green, then no excuse, they were absolute muppets. If they had to wait on every fairway (apart from thinking they could land 250m bombs on the green on par 5’s) then it may have been partially acceptable. But still, you play ready golf in consideration of those behind you. I also generally find that if the group in front notice that you are constantly waiting they try and quicken pace of play. Well I know I do and that generally filters through the group.
If that doesn’t happen, I will occasionally mention in a polite manner,, “Excuse me gentlemen, but I was wondering if there was the slim prospect of you taking your shots just a tad quicker to facilitate a smooth round for those that are stranded behind us.” Problem is, even though that is what I am thinking of saying, it generally comes out as ” Hey fuckwits, any chance you can extract ya digit so the poor bastards behind us can finish before the sun goes down.”
Yes I am much loved among some of our slower member groups that I have had the privilege of playing behind.
Not a good look from the guys in front and yes it is frustrating when people have no clue on ‘Ready Golf’, but just like Van, just chill out and remember…. There will always be….
