Interesting to see how different states respond to varying degrees of an outbreak. Even more interesting to see how some defend the action taken and those that depose the action taken. I guess it is one of those little problems that will be with us for some time yet. It will be interesting to see how the economic status of all the States will be in 12 months time due to the actions taken by the various premiers. No sense in blaming the Comm Gov, States wanted their individuality and it was granted.

There seem to be plenty who are blaming the PM and saying he should take action through economic force and whatever else he can come up with

    It’s a crazy world

Overall it’s gone great and even thought I wish more Premiers took a path like Gladys I don’t agree with piling on as if they are criminals

They are making political decisions – surprise surprise!

Yep, seems they are doing what they believe is best for their respective States and I suggest to a degree what they believe will keep them popular. Funny how each States populace viewpoint seems to trend with what they are used to, but that also seems to depend on the respective areas of the State they reside in.
Time will tell what worked best I suppose. Still a bit bemused though when the States call for more money from Comm Gov to cover shortfalls caused or extended by State Gov decisions. Or how States can close their borders and affect 1000’s who had holiday bookings, but then reopen and implore holidaymakers to come to their State because the respective tourism and hospitality industry are suffering. 🤪🤪😄

Sounds good, we would only have 2 weeks notice as well

Worry about that when and if the interest is there.

Wow….that might bring your averages down……the other states might have a chance this year?

Can you imagine the post game shenanigans on the “Party Bus”.🤪

Too easy. Only problem might be the start time for some. Being that they have a heap socials in the morning, tee time would be around the 11.30 mark, but would be afdefiniteif others were happy with the late tee off. You on the other hand are welcome to play in the trees anytime. How about Royal Liverpool after that,,?

Can be done especially as both myself and snorkel are there but the timing would be similar, around midday on a sunday.

I guess we will just have to see what the interest levels are!!

I’m sure whomever the ‘Game Co-Ordinator’ may be, they would like an idea of the number of interested parties and the preferred day of play. Given the work commitments of most mid week, it is probably the go on a Sunday.

In that vane, for the time being, may I suggest that possibly members of their respective cubs who maybe interested in participating make inquiries as to the availability of 2 groups (doubt we would get more than that) in the Sunday comp at their home course and the amount of notice that would be required to acquire 2 groups. We would then have multiple Co-Ordinators.

Alternately, those that are interested may want to nominate a couple of courses they would like to play and I may be inclined to contact said courses to establish availability on a Sunday and course requirements to take part in their open Sunday comps.

    Thoughts…….

It felt like we were playing in Queensland’s tropics this morning; no wind and high humidity with temperature at 28 degrees.

I started of well with 4 pars on the front 9, then without warning I push faded a 7 irons into the dam on hole 9. i don’t hit push fades with my irons anymore, or so I thought. Lack of concentration? I played bogey golf on the back nine. My tee shots started to go left on a few holes. I had to chip out several times, mostly with good results except on 17 when an attempted hero shot failed.

5 pars, 11 bogeys and 2 triples ( penalty 2 for lost ball and one penalty for touching my ball with a practice swing) OTS 89 & 32 points.

Oh, and I forgot my phone so I played without GPS.

I’m probably wrong again!!!,but wasn’t one of the new rules that if you accidentally moved your ball, you replaced it without penalty as you were not at address and not playing a shot. Different of course if you were removing an impediment and your ball moved. Or I could just have it wrong on both accounts. That would not surprise. 🙃

Having stayed at Crowne Plaza on a couple of occasions, the deal The Large C has bartered is very good value, ESPECIALLY with what the rates are while a concert is on in the vineyards. Excellent digs as well and at last count about 19 different beers and ciders on tap.
