BumpunRunParticipantI played at Sanctuary Cove as a member’s guest.
It was genuinely one of my very top few best ever days at golf.
Playing with Dad, Placegetter and accepting a very late call up, a bloke who I played with all of the time at Piney who I haven’t seen or played with in too long a time.
So many reasons for it to be the best day, I loved it so much and Placegetter is still the most awesome human in the whole world. Some home course advantage helped him rave to an insurmountable lead of 21 shots by half way. He was just too good in the end.
There must be something to this not drinking business. It felt like all of my Christmases came today so that’s why I decided to post it here in this thread, sounds good yeah?
First hole of the day, smashed 3 wood, flicked up a lob wedge to a few feet for a tap in bird.
I was ready to finish there, obviously the course was going to be too easy.Have I mentioned it was a great day?

BumpunRunParticipantWhat are the dates for 2020?
30 days has September, April, June and November. All the rest have 31, except February which has 28 or something like that.
BumpunRunParticipantThe other game was a lock too, until my mate had his kid’s party three weeks after her birthday.
I mean who does that?!?I’m in some good form at the moment too.
I only missed 2 fairways at Glades, which was my warm up game for Thursday.
That will then be a continued run into my future home course where the game really counts.
It will be my best game there by a long way.

BumpunRunParticipantWhen I was 15 or 16, Dad told me I had to choose one sport to play because two in one weekend was too much.
I was playing soccer at that time and was training with the Reserves in the pre-season so I was probably going to be in a new team away from my mates anyway.
I’m not sure if Dad was convincing enough or he made the decision for me in the end, but I started playing golf properly instead.
After what was another 15 or so years of every Saturday with Dad it became ritual that meant so much more to me than just winning a ball and dropping handicaps.I think I live in the camp of “does not play” anymore, rather I squeeze a game in every few months when it works with my family.
I play because I miss what I had, I get to choose who and where I play with more so now so I play with those who are special to me, I love to stay challenged in thinking I am still as good as what I used to be, I love being with those who know what it means to me to be out there playing.
BumpunRunParticipantA new belt.
It’s an Under Armour one that is reversible, sort of navy on one side and sort of grey on the other.
I will definitely be wearing it on the 2nd and also on February 9th.1 user liked this post.
BumpunRunParticipantMy Christmas present is coming on the 2nd of January.
Where are you playing???
