Come to think of it – why do I need all the other topics on this site?

I’ll just use this one for everything – simples!

    That’s my plan

Next I’ll be using this thread for the one word thread too

You make the rules, Up so the time you get to get our names down is the time we get to play.

I’m happier for later than stupid o’clock too, it does make it easier if I’m not leaving before the girls are up.

I will need to come in with a couple of swing thoughts for the irons, otherwise I am super keen and very much looking forward to one of my favourite days of the year

I’m sure that it did, I definitely didn’t give it the considered consideration that it deserves.

I suffered badly at the back end of last year and I ashamedly gave up on caring for it as much as other things that needed to be cared for.
While it’s very much back in business now, it’s definitely not back to its full former glory….
It still makes me sad that it isn’t as good as I want it.

The front yard is schmicko at the minute.
I have also laid some irrigation lines in the front gardens which the grass will benefit from so good times ahead for the front of house.

So you had the forethought to give your front garden/lawn a Christmas present. That’s so you. It will repay you in many wondrous ways.

The best part about all this was that I picked up a couple hundred dollar’s worth it stuff from my mate from a house he bought.
I was super excited to make it all work with what I wanted.
I did use a $50 Big Green Shed voucher to get some timer taps and a couple of extra connectors and sprayers.

I played at Sanctuary Cove as a member’s guest.

It was genuinely one of my very top few best ever days at golf.
Playing with Dad, Placegetter and accepting a very late call up, a bloke who I played with all of the time at Piney who I haven’t seen or played with in too long a time.
So many reasons for it to be the best day, I loved it so much and Placegetter is still the most awesome human in the whole world.

Some home course advantage helped him rave to an insurmountable lead of 21 shots by half way. He was just too good in the end.
There must be something to this not drinking business.

It felt like all of my Christmases came today so that’s why I decided to post it here in this thread, sounds good yeah?

First hole of the day, smashed 3 wood, flicked up a lob wedge to a few feet for a tap in bird.
I was ready to finish there, obviously the course was going to be too easy.

Have I mentioned it was a great day?

    A. Yes, good place for the write-up.

    B. Less alcohol on course has improved my scores. Questionable about the enjoyment factor, but my liver is thankful.

    C. Can you elaborate on how one can ‘rave’ to such a lead… did you go via the Falls Festival?

    D. What was you final score? And, how did Dad go?

    E. No mention of what you were wearing, or any such lead up, ah … ‘discussion’? WTF?

    A. I was looking for a really random unrelated thread to post this into, but it turns out that the day was better than Christmas so it came in here

    B. I play better when I drank more, lots better actually. I have lots of LOLs out loud anyway, but still play better drinkered.

    C. was an autocorrect or a typo, I had meant to type race. It was a far less exciting story than you’d hoped.

    D. 82. I will ask Dad what he had because I didn’t see his card.

    E. It was an Oakley shirt, dark grey coloured back with sort of splashes and radio-like waves of yellow on the front. Grey shorts with my new belt.
Because I had such a big day on New year’s Day, what I was wearing became very much an after thought, I wasn’t 100% sold on my choice so there wasn’t the good conscious to proudly announce what I was wearing.

I did hit big dog soooo much better my last game when I was drinking more than I ever should have, let alone while playing. Today with less drinks it wasn’t as good, I know that I definitely play better drinkered.

I had an 82. Sorry to let you down Commish.

4 over on the front nine and then I had a few doubles on the back. It wasn’t a comp game so the score and shot selection to a large extent was irrelevant. We still always obviously cared and kept score but I wasn’t worried.

Dad was more interested in donating balls to the dams to worry the scorers. He did drive very well though and because I didn’t have his card I have no idea what he scored haha
