I’m in the market for a new bag. Anyone got any recommendations for a bargain cheap price?

Don’t buy cheap and nasty, you’ll never be happy with it.

People say that nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
No championships worth mentioning in recent years.
Progress is man's ability to complicate simplicity.

Might as well share my antiques with everyone, I think the newest thing there would date back to around 2005 Who knows one day I might upgrade again.

Driver: Exotics XCG-5 9 degree. Tour AD40 Stiff
    Fairway Wood: Titileist 909 F2 15 degree.
Hybrid: Adams Idea A12 17 degree
    Irons: Cleveland CG4 3-PW (Dynamic Gold S300)
    Wedges: Cleveland CG11 54 deg / 60 deg
Putter: Odyssey Dual Force 770 – RIFE fat grip
Golf Bag: Titleist tour bag (don’t use often) Callaway lightweight bag of preference
    Buggy: Smoothy
    Clothing: Most of the time
    Shoes: Puma something or others
    Glove: Mizuno
Golf Ball: Bridgestone Tour B XS
    Sunscreen: Should wear more

Other: Various clubs lying around but all at least 20 years old.

    Just a short update.

Been dabbling with a Srixon 785 Driver – felt good bought it. Took it on the course couldn’t hit it, Took it to a range couldn’t hit it, took it to a simulator couldn’t hit it any better than my old Exotics XCG5 – Ball speed the same, distance carry within 2 yards and dispersion no better with old driver. Sold it again on Marketplace.

Missing a lot of puts to the left – a pro I was playing with suggested that I should try something without as much toe hang. Went into Drummonds trying putter after putter kept coming back to the Wilson Staff Infiniti Windy City. Love the way it sets up for me and the look behind the ball. Now have stopped missing putts left and are currently missing them to the right (will persevere) – so in the bag (for now).

Only other gear change I’ve had is glove now a Footjoy.

    Update
Driver : Cleveland Launcher XL 12 degree arriving soon ( I will be able to adjust this one)
4 Wood: A 43.5 inch shaft on my Cobra 17 degree 5 Wood
    7 Wood: TS2 ( like it)
19 Hybrid: Cobra F9 single length ( love it/ so many uses)
    24 Hybrid : Cobra F7
    29 Hybrid: TS2
7 iron to GW; Milford Golf SL-7 single length/ graphite shafts
Wedges: winter ( more bounce) Cleveland CBX2 56/60, Milford SL-7 56/60 for summer ( less bounce)
Putter: Wilson Staff Midway for slow greens. Gravity Golf Arcmaster for fast greens/ scrape courses.
Balls: Inesis Tour 900 until they raised the price $20/dozen after good reviews. Snell MTB-X Black.

I have been mucking about with Drivers. I bought a Cleveland HB Turbo 12 degree and improved a lot in comparison to the Cobra F9. I also bought two Nike Vapor Speeds ( one regular flex, one A flex) I hit the A flex all over the place, but cut it down to 44 inches and found the fairway, but lost 10 m. I tried the F9 again after two years and boy had it improved!

Using an A flex over R flex may not result in more distance, as A bends shaft more meaning might be more difficult to return square, which you sort of found out by shortening the length.

think about the loft, higher loft easier to hit ball in air but goes higher and carry more through air, which is good in winter but maybe not so in Portland wind, lower loft might give more bounce and run on firm fairways in summer
so having a loft setting for summer vs winter makes total sense
you have different putters for fast and slow greens so different drivers for course type also makes sense.
at your course straighter is better than longer, whereas port fairy can afford to be a little off line.
keep experimenting, not flight data really can select the driver for you, its what you like.
