BumpunRunParticipantso, depending on what hole we tee off on with the shot gun start, this is 16.
If I am off either, 17, 18 or 1 rather than 16, this will be my tee shot. It’s a 210m carry over that longest point of the pond that could roll up towards the green.
wish me luck

Hack2489ParticipantSo, in the absence of anywhere fun for me to document my updates and progression, I will just use my #twinnings thread to update the house.
I have been playing with some website I found where you can plot your way around each hole with distances and alignments and all that so I now have my tee shots mapped out and sorted to know where i need to put the ball for the best chance of a par round.
disappointingly, there are only a couple of times where I will be teeing off with Ink’s head, most of the holes will be big dog.
I will be making use of Ink’s head on 1 though, as shown on the attachedWhat’s the website you found / are using?
I tend to just use Google maps with satellite view or Google Earth if I’m looking at a new course. Then when playing do nothing as planned.

then it has the 2d and 3d functions for placing targets and such
should have a lot of courses ….
seems cool.
Otherwise I use Nearmap because of the corporate subscription1 user liked this post.

What’s the website?

WeetbixParticipant@Hack2489 thanks for the message. I’m more focussed on commercial roles, and that one is a bit far south for me from Algester. But I appreciate the heads up and welcome anything else that crosses your path.
Can’t for the life of me get the message reply to send in the PM

WeetbixParticipant31 points today off 12 at Glades in a decent and gusty wind – had my chances but short game was terrible and the driver got the hooks on the last few holes after being pushy all day – driver in the end cost me 5 shots while short game cost me 10 plus 4 3 putts.
5/14 fairways
7 GIR
1/11 up and down
37 puttsBeen striking my chips much better lately but not today
I think setup will correct the driver because I was trying to change it to fix my push and I suspect over did it
Hit some good irons though
2 birdies were dropping 15ft putts so that made up a little with the putter, plus left myself some very long putts on tough greens
Chipping was very frustrating

TophParticipantStill broke 90 on a fairly tough course with 4 three putts.
Do you need to hit driver that many times?November 24, 2019 at 6:23 pm #6947
WeetbixParticipantYeah I don’t think any of them were the wrong choice except maybe on 15, but the round was gone by then

So, if you’d gone fishing it would’ve been a mixed bag? Few pelagics, couple of reef species and the staple of a feed of flathead.

WeetbixParticipantYeah very much so

WeetbixParticipantThought I’d have a bit of a review of the Sunday round. Was a situation where I started pushing the long clubs and then switched to a hook and that cost me as I wasn’t playing safe for hooks.
My shorter full swings were pretty good most of the day though which is good.
So the tee shirs went:
– Started on 16 with a 4h big push into the trees that combined with a weak AW chip meant bogey (got a bit lucky but the punch from the trees was very good)
– 18 push into the trees but ok
– 1 5i draw good
– 2 Mini Driver was very good
– 4 4h straight
– 6 push into the trees
– 7 straight drive
– 8 top into the water then pushed the retee but fine
– 10 driver went where I aimed it into the end of the bunker (avoiding water but was hoping for a little bit of draw)
– 11 push into the trees
– 12 hook wet
– 13 long par 3 was a hooked 6i to continue the hook run
– 14 hook bunker
– 15 hook wet
Many many shots lost thereOther full swings were a happier story:
– 17 PW GIR
– 18 5i just short which is what I expected
– 1 9i GIR but short
– 2 6i hook
– 3 9i thin push was GIR but a loooong way away
– 4 LW a little short but good
– 5 PW draw GIR
– 6 AW a little short but good
– 7 8i hooked but fine, SW pulled into the bunker
– 8 LW good
– 9 LW to 15ft
– 10 9i from the bunker was a bit thin but just over – good shot
– 11 SW to 15ft
– 12 SW just long from 118 uphill!
– 13 6i hook ended up fine
– 14 SW from fairway bunker was fat, SW to green was good to 15ftHave to sort out the longer clubs but wedges and short irons were right where I want them

By saying that, aren’t you actual saying something?
