Started ok off 10 at Carbrook off the 10th with a birdie
18 on.the back
12 on the front
Putted poorly, not many 3 putts but apart from the Texas I dropped on 10 I didn’t make many good ones
Chipping was a mixed bag but not many up and downsDrove mostly well apart from 2 tops, one wet, which cost me 3 shots

Greens were firm as you expect at Carbrook
Fairways were well grassed and very nice

Yeah was a pretty consistent fade
Sometimes too much fade but it was consistent shape all dayJust have to trust it and aim a bit further left to get better results
Played at Maleny off 11
Quite reminiscent of many of the Mornington Peninsula courses with fairly open fairways but thick rough if you miss and most likely a lost ballHad 14 and 16. 5 over on the putting was a primary culprit, along with being too weak on most of my chips
Overall struck the ball well with 2 shots dropped from a lost drive on 9. Had some tough up and downs from approaches missing the mark but nothing impossible. Should have made more up and downs.
17 over 85 off the stick
I look forward to returning and with some better course knowledge saving myself some shots.85 on a course you don’t know is pretty good. I struggle to hit that on our local course, which I know like the back of my hand. But then again, I don’t study the back of my hand at all!

Par 68 helps a bit!
But it has a lot of blind shots – knowing the course better next time will help a lot
Have you been for a putter fitting Weets?
A while back with my old TM mallet. They didn’t change the putter. Didn’t change my stats much either!
