Quartet of new coaches get set for influx of female golfers

love.golf, the empowering group coaching experience for women, has welcomed four new coaches to its ranks as it gears up to attract women to golf throughout 2022.

Karyn Burns from East Kilbride Golf Club near Glasgow, has joined Leicestershire’s Amy Taylor and duo Damon Wood and Sam Proctor, both based in Cheshire, in signing up to the program this year.

love.golf, supported by Syngenta, replaces traditional instruction with the freedom to explore new skills, discover untapped potential and bond with a supportive group of like-minded women.

New recruits

Karyn Burns is an experienced professional and together with Linzi Dye, from West Kilbride, will soon host the very first golf experience for Muslim women in Scotland in conjunction with the Muslim Golf Association.

Amy Taylor, from Hinckley Golf Club, Leicester is an energetic coach who is passionate about bringing more women and children into the game. Amy recently hosted her very first love.golf taster experience and attracted 28 new women to her club.

Damon Wood joins love.golf with over 10 years’ experience and having recently set up his own academy, ‘My Golf Tribe’ at Woodside Golf & Driving Range in Holmes Chapel

Working alongside Damon at Woodside, Sam Proctor has combined his college playing experience from the United States with his passion for the game. He is already winning over golfers with his no-nonsense approach.

Commenting on the new arrivals, love.golf Head Coach and Founder, Alastair Spink, said: “Our new coaches all exhibit the energy and dynamism which is visible across our entire coach base. They have been warmly welcomed into our community of coaches and have a fantastic opportunity to learn from others and enhance their business.”

“Sharp increase in sign-ups

Demand for love.golf is surging in 2022. In April alone, over 100 new women signed up for experiences via love.golf’s dedicated online events portal.

“Already this year we are witnessing a sharp increase in sign-ups across the country. With the new coaches on board, we’re in a stronger position to service this demand and positively impact participation,” said Spink.

love.golf plans to host a series of ground-breaking events to connect new audiences to golf throughout 2022, including influencer events and bespoke taster experiences for women in conjunction with the Muslim Golf Association.

Coaches wishing to become part of the love.golf coach community can contact Head Coach Alastair Spink for more information.
