Trolling

Don’t make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up. Substance is the key to not being labelled a troll.

Flaming

Attack the message, not the messenger. Criticise ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated.

Personal attacks

No member is allowed to engage in public personal attacks on any other member. This is defined as personal, racial, ethnic, and gender based insults, slurs, or derisive comments.

Inappropriate material

No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. Sexually suggestive images and posts will be heavily scrutinised. Member will be banned without warning.

Personal information

Respect the privacy of others. Do not post other’s phone numbers, addresses or pictures, without their permission. The internet keeps history of this!

Spamming

No commercially-oriented posts and no flooding with useless content. Blatant direct advertising of products is not tolerated.

No Dating

No “Am I Hot or Not”, “show me your girlfriend.” etc. threads. There are several places for that already; this is not a dating forum.

Simple forum etiquette

DO NOT:

• post unrelated topics within a forum thread
• belittle or insult another user
• post libellous, defamatory or illegal content
• post intentionally misleading or damaging information Use descriptive subject lines and research your post. This reduces the chance of double-posting. Scan the subjects of the last several days’ posts to make sure you aren’t duplicating posts. Also, consider what forum your topic should be posted in.

Finally, not making any hard and fast rules means that the moderators can use their good judgement in moderation. We like to give warnings but we don’t guarantee that you will receive one. If we feel you are disrupting the community, we will take action. Be mindful that any information posted to these forums is considered open by any visitor.
