Comrade Barenski, its with a heavy heart, I will have to drop out of this shindig. Something has come up at work which means I will be working on Monday while you’re golfing.

Any chance that you can put the money towards the next outing or do a refund?

    Bummed ill be missing

Hopefully the course maintenance is not cored greens

No, they were done 4 weeks ago, I know cause I got my hands dirty with the greens staff.

The course now opens at 10am every Monday over summer to allow the greenies to get their work done. Due to high volumes of members playing they need more time to make the course immaculate.

Will that change now that you’re direktor? Or will you still get in there with a scythe from time to time

I mustn’t have hit the submit button last time..

Firming in the market as a starter for this. Wifey will be out of rehab hospital on Thursday so should know by mid next week how well she is able to cope independently. I would suggest with her current attitude it will be ” Houston, it’s all systems are GO!! “

Best wishes and quick recovery to Mrs commish

Another great day out with the L4G crew for PJ’s birthday. Nice and cool and just a little wind. Perfect conditions really. Thanks to my playing partners wolfy and commish. Thanks for organizing barnesy and congratulations on the new job.
Straining my hammy was probably a good thing, haven’t hit that many fairways in yonks and the wedge and putter behaved as well. Pigs may fly yet/ Will definitely be going back to the coast, decent layout and the kikuyu grass definitely does well for my chipping as pepps the cake eater observed.

As always, great to see you Chris and looking forward to all the photos.

Solid rounds from everyone, especially from pepps and barnesy to turn around a great front 9. Also don’t know who hit up on me on the 7th past the drain, but glad were keeping the tradition alive :D. thanks for the beers BK and Wolfy

Looking forward to twilight at elanora with you lot.

Am I able to borrow somebody’s HC for the day??

And if I have a couple of mates that wanna play, are they able to borrow a HC as well if they don’t have 1??

I apologise beforehand for this comment, but maybe you should post this in the mexican forum? Heaps of unused golflink numbers there at the moment.

how jacked are his lofts if he needs a 47 wedge and a PW?

    His driver is 5.5

ha…so on an avg 4 degrees jacked. Prob trying to make up for the lack of shaft length 😛

    Driver: 325 yards
    3-wood: 295 yards
    4-hybrid: 275 yards
    4-iron: 255 yards
    5-iron: 235 yards
    6-iron: 220 yards
    7-iron: 205 yards – driver
    8-iron: 190 yards – 3W
    9-iron: 175 yards – 5W
    Pitching wedge: 160 yards – 4H
    47 degree wedge: 145 yards – 5H
53 degree wedge: 127 yards – 7i…clearly we have a club gap issue
    58 degree wedge: 110 yards – 9i…same issue

    FFS!

I’m glad you did those distances… saved me posting mine. I just say… Ditto

how jacked are his lofts if he needs a 47 wedge and a PW?

I was of the belief that a PW was around 47/48 degs. His PW must be at about 44 which is basically a 9i. If that be the case then it would suggest his 4i is lofted somewhere between a 2&3i.

thought std PW were 46 so prob not far off your estimate. Pity even so, 2i does (his 4i) doesnt go 255 yards….what a beast
