pylParticipantSunday comp is usually off the yellow tees, so if there’s not much wind (which BOM is forecasting right now) it plays pretty easy. Not so easy off the blacks…

pylParticipantAlmost finished this humpin’ day. And I also almost finished my Lagavulin which must mean it is pretty much bedtime by now.

pylParticipantWollongong GC Saturday comp a few days ago. Played very well except for two holes. Shot 77 for 37 points. Two horrible doubles, both of them chip three putt ruined what would have been an excellent round.
Hating holes 6 and 18 a little less now after having been a member for about six months. I’ve figured out how to play them finally and it has made a big difference in average scoring for those holes.

KEG 6.5/6.8/5.57.5->7.2 over the weekend. Aiming to claw back the WHS change over the next few weeks and then hopefully manage to reach my goal of 5.6. Need to work on my irons a bit since I’m missing too many greens compared to my hcp.

pylParticipantBOM forecast for the rest of the week is looking pretty good. Possibly some light showers but mostly fine. The course should dry up nicely.

pylParticipantPlayed this morning and the course is in OK condition all things considered. Greens are actually quite good. 30 cm preferred lies through the green since there are some areas that are still wet. Probably about half of the bunkers are GUR. Hole 4 is shortened because Sydney Water is doing some kind of work.
With some sun and wind it should be pretty good by next Sunday!

pylParticipantPlaying the Saturday comp tomorrow and I’ll give an update on course condition after that. Since more than half the course was completely under water a couple of weeks ago it’ll be interesting to see what it’s like.
Excellent.
Once Peppas has done the draw, I can send a list of names and Golflink numbers to you if you want to give them to the proshop. Will save them doing it on the day.
Sounds like a plan.

pylParticipantPetanque? Would love to, almost as good as pesapalo.. but like Finland it’s too far away from home in current circumstances 😁

pylParticipantThe club briefly considered changing it’s name to the Wollongong Swimming Club last weekend.
However, the flood waters are receding and I think there’s 15 holes open now. Should be good to go in a couple of weeks.
