Hmmm, don’t quite know what happened there, The attachment is meant to be the view looking out from the deck of the Narooma Golf Club. I’ll have to sort out how to post photo’s in this new place.

The Commish had suggested a space similar to The Lounge and a few offered up a name.
We now have The Deck
Wow…very spacious…and the smell of newly painted. I think I’m going to like this place….let me know when Commish “Officially” cuts the ribbon, followed by one of his articulate speeches….
As for Christmas 2019…….I happen to have the next two days off and we’ll have Rees’s daughter (Elaina) spending the night with us on Christmas eve. Looking forward to seeing her Christmas morning opening her presents. Things are tight…. so it will be a quiet day at home for us.
Watch out for the wet paint near the bar- needs a few more hours to dry.
Have a great Holiday season Francie- I know its been a rough year for you and the fam. We can only hope 2020 is much better than 2019.
PS: What is the beverage of choice for this joint? Have to get an order in before New Years!

Can we have a lounge forum please. Why??? because we need somewhere to sit and reflect whilst we manoeuvre between the other threads, PLUS it stops Toph having to one up himself in the Song Title Game thread on ISG and I can’t help him out in there any more. PLUS, PLUS, I like the ability to have a forum with diverse threads that don’t really have a direct impact on golf and it’s foibles.
Isn’t that what the rules sub-forum area is for?
Or, is it Community Business. I get lost.
EDIT: I had type, “I can’t keep up” instead of “I get lost” but with the moderation around here I could see it being changed to “I can’t keep it up” and would be paranoid for months knowing someone around has seen me, ah, struggling.
Nah,, the Rules Forum is for people who don’t really give a shit.
Community Business is close, but we need a 19th hole where all manner of inane crap can be discussed. I mean this is a clubhouse after all.
We did have the pool room but got a bit to steamy in there.
What’s a good title. Lounge. Or the deck or patio?
Whatever you choose would be fine. I like to sit on the balcony and watch the world pass by, it’s that open room with a view. Did you see what I did there???
This all sound like a matter that should have been tabled at the EGM.
But, given said ‘fiduciary deficiencies’ would it be prudent to make it the first L4G ‘poll’?
Perhaps a short list of options upon which votes may be cast?

So in a moment of what some might call madness, 56 hardened golfers ventured out in 43 degrees weather yesterday to play in a golf day sponsored by one of the golf clubs main supporters…….
As can be seen from the drone that was up yesterday the course is as dry as the proverbial….
Somehow me off 17 and my partner for the day off 25 managed to have 76 off the stick and ended up as runners up, we were lucky to end up in areas were you could take advantage of a preferred lie and combined well on the day…..The golf course looks like that…… just stop and think what the surrounding farms look like….. it is horrendous
I really feel for those who have been smashed by the fires and what we all need is a couple of days of gentle soaking rain so if you can arrange it Santa it would be greatly appreciated …..
And for those who have been lucky enough to have had rain and have a lush green backyard, not here I haven’t been able to use a hose for two years, and are wondering what they can do for a weekend…… take a trip to the bush and see how bad it is, talk to the locals, spend a couple of dollars it would be appreciated by all…..

So options thus far:
Howlong, Black Bull, Yarrawonga/Mulwala Thu-Sun Yarrawonga has an Executive Course as well so will look at options to include a fun event in middle maybe?or Canberra Yowani and ??
Long list of options..
Royal Canberra, Federal, Gold Creek, Queanbeyan, Yowani, Mt Broughton on way for those coming south.
Plenty of options for food drink & accommodation.Still I’m in for Murray too
Keep cost down for this event. keep the event to 4 days.(mon & Tuesday are not needed)
for main event look at the following 4 course which have all the requirements we need.Rich river -Echuca – very affordable accommodation on course, and good cheap meals in club house, could do dinner at venue 36 holes on site = 2 courses with access both days, big putting green for putting comp.good practice facilities.
Yarrawonga – affordable accommodation on course, meals in club house could do dinner at venue, 2 course.54 holes good practice facilities
Tocumwal- affordable accommodation close to course, meals in club house, could do dinner at venue, good practice facilities 36 holes.
Corowa: 27 holes- so could play a 54 hole tournament affordable accomodation on site meals in club house,could do dinner at venue, good practice facilities.

suggestions for dinner
why not just do dinner at a local pub i/ bistro n area close to the accommodation.that is a back up plan but Commish correct on needing putting Comp green. So maybe bowls club
