koiomParticipantDue to current State of Emergency re CoVID 19 will this event be postponed?
Just because I am doing a lot of work on this at the moment in a work context, here are my thoughts.
We will be asking that anyone who is showing any respiratory symptoms or fever elect not to participate. We have a healthy emergency list so even if you make this call very late you will likely not lose your dough. If you are subject to an authority imposed self isolation order (ie international travel within 14 days or exposure to confirmed case), then we may be able to cover your fees from our reserves even if we can’t get someone to replace you .
We recommend that players avoid shaking hands or engaging in other physical contact during the round and maintain sensible distances (1.5M plus) while on the course. If you are in a risk category, you might not wish to hang around for a meal afterwards, but that is your call.
Updates as developments require.

Good news is who ever is in Mick’s group will usually be at least 50m away from him as he looks for his ball miles away from where it went into the shit to begin with
koiomParticipantJust received this from my club:
Coronavirus
As advertised in the news over the past week the coronavirus is a real concern although we don’t see KGC as a a threat to your health, the club needs to be mindful of how we can prevent the virus from spreading. We should all recognise the responsibility we have to the club, members, staff and the wider community and do all we can to stop this disease from spreading..If you’ve recently travelled from or visited those countries known to have serious outbreaks (which currently includes China, Iran and South Korea and subject to change) or you’ve been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you will have been required to undertake a period of self-quarantine for 14 days. If this condition applies to you, or any intended guest, you are requested to exercise all due caution and not attend the Club until the applicable quarantine period has expired.
The use of hand sanitiser is encouraged and the club will be trying to source stocks for members to use at the club ASAP.
Please read the following advice
The following correspondence was received from Greg Hunt, Federal Member for Flinders & Federal Minister for Health.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) UpdateAustralia is not immune to the Coronavirus, but there is no country in the world better prepared for this health challenge. We will and are continuing work to keep Australians safe.
We all have a role to play to ensure Australia comes through the Coronavirus outbreak by staying calm, following the advice of the medical experts and supporting each other.

If you have returned from an area at risk of COVID-19 or come into contact with someone with COVID-19, it is important to be aware of the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Practice good hygiene, such as frequent hand washing, coughing or sneezing into your elbow, and avoiding shaking hands.
People should monitor for symptoms such as fever, coughing, shortness of breath or tiredness. If you are unwell or concerned that you may have been exposed to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), you should self-isolate and call your GP for advice before you visit your doctor. Do not visit public places.
If you have recently returned from or transited through China, Iran or South Korea in the last 14 days, you must self-isolate for 14 days from the day of your departure from that country.
If you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), you must self-isolate for 14 days from the date of your last contact with the confirmed case.

Human to human transmission has been detected in Australia, so even if you have not travelled, please exercise caution.
Some groups are more vulnerable to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) than others, including over-65s and people with pre-existing health conditions, particularly auto-immune diseases or respiratory issues. If you or a family member fall into this category, use extra caution and ensure that all members of the family are practicing good hygiene.

koiomParticipantAnd then of course, there was Oz’s stableford score of 8 for the entire round at Heritage.
That takes crap to a new, subterranean level.
Our man Wayne Bruce had 13 points playing off 30 at Keysie yesterday.
I imagine Oz was playing off less than that at Heritage, so the Batman might have come close to at least equalling that hideous effort1 user liked this post.

koiomParticipantI certainly share the setiments of others here in saying that golf is a few hours away from the noise that life can throw at you.
I farkin live for weekends and that 5.30am alarm that signals the start of a golf day.I also keep coming back in the hope that the next round is the one where every aspect of my game fires on the same day. It’s the search for that one perfect round where you can say you were happy with every shot off the tee, every shot through the green and every putt.
Pretty sure I’ll need to be physically active and capable until the age of about 230 before I experience this, but hey, it keeps me coming back.
I play golf cos I’m popular with golfers who want me to join them.
I used to care about my golf game and my equipment and my handicap but not so much now.
It’s more the company. To that I Have made some awesome friends from inter state and local too that will stay with me forever.
Bless you all.Ha….you guys are soooooo commited to playing well every time you tee it up. I will NEVER believe that Muzz should play off a handicap higher than mine….and Carson is a “champ” who needs no further explaination. Both champs in my book
It’s the only way Muzz will ever be higher than anyone over the age of 4
