Nanny state of not, I for one have been very pleasantly surprised by how the politicians are handling this issue. On both a federal level and at a state level they are doing very well I reckon. The amount of lives lost here is but a drop in the ocean.

It is also nice to see very little in the way of criticism from their relevant oppositions. If this goes on for much longer, people may have to lift their opinion of pollies from the “self interested pond scum” level.

Absolutely agree, mutual cooperation State and Federal also great.

State govt are taking it pretty serious. I work for the State we have had constant comms about it since early Feb and our teams are in our 4th week of working from home. Due to some medical issues I was encouraged to start working from home a couple weeks earlier.

I don’t think he is a member at Huntingdale because its not disclosed on his register of interests return lodged with Parliament. KH and Wang are on the return.

    Further update thanks golflguy

Looked up Dan’s register of interests lodged with Parliament. He is no longer an honary member at Keysborough. Apparently he resigned to avoid a conflict when they embarked on the redevelopment proposal. Given the proposal needs a planning scheme amendment to be approved by the Planning Minister you could understand that he wouldn’t want to be appear to have an interest in Minister Richard Wynne’s decision..

I double checked his memberships. He is paid up at KH, used to be paid up at Keysborough, now honary there and also at Wangaratta

I haven’t been able to play since September and if I am lucky I might be able to resume in October so it doesn’t affect me but I still reckon its pathetic that Vic golfers get punished for the sake of his image.

He has an honary membership at KH. He is a paid up member somewhere else.

Apparently he is a golf tragic, might be going harder on golfers to avoid appearance of bias.

If it weren’t for the large crowds in retail stores, supermarkets, walking by the beach, no one would have a problem with Dan’s stance.
In the light of the aforementioned scenarios, it just doesn’t make enough sense
Don’t even get me started on bottle shops and horse racing…..
Dan says ” no one needs to play golf”
Evidently they do need to drink, gamble and indulge in high tax revenue raising activities

My gambling turnover is way down due to the NBA, AFL & NRL recess. At least there is the odd neddy race to bet on.

    What’s your particular reasoning?

Mostly because golfers in other states can play as long as they comply with sensible precautions but here in the Nanny State we can’t be trusted to do the same.
