We’ll all be 7% worse, unless of course we play better, and then we’ll be 7% worse than we would have been.

Scheduled meeting with my friendly Gastroenterologist at 11. Yeehaaaa.. Colonoscopy time again. Can’t wait..:(
Hang on … Scheduled for 11, means you’ll see the Doc at about 3, so plenty of time to play!
Oh, and when you do get to see him, hopefully he doesn’t have the shanks. If he yells fore you know you’ll be sore the next

Hack2489ParticipantI’m sure that it did, I definitely didn’t give it the considered consideration that it deserves.
I suffered badly at the back end of last year and I ashamedly gave up on caring for it as much as other things that needed to be cared for.
While it’s very much back in business now, it’s definitely not back to its full former glory….
It still makes me sad that it isn’t as good as I want it.The front yard is schmicko at the minute.
I have also laid some irrigation lines in the front gardens which the grass will benefit from so good times ahead for the front of house. My lawn has suffered a similar fate, but it did get some TLC pre Christmas and us looking better now.
Although, my spot spraying if weeds earlier this week has given it a yellow n green patch work look.
It’s overdue for a now, but, it’s too hot for me and the lawn to cope with mowing.
Thankfully I have a tank full of water to use to keep it alive now that we’re on water restrictions. First level of such and they’ve banned watering of lawns. We get half an hour every second day to use a hose for the garden.
I’m not that regimented. I’ll water it when I feel it needs it and if it takes an hour or more so be it.

Hack2489ParticipantMy PB, many years ago, playing off a daily of 27 (under the old system) was 28 pts on the front 9 at Pelican Waters, which was followed by another 10 pts on the
first 5 holes of the back 9. I came home wipe wipe wipe wipe.By the time you realise this part of my signature doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Hack2489ParticipantDon’t know, but you would have to suspect it was new and played dead in the first few hçapping rounds. I think under the World Handicapping System it might be classed as an “exceptional nett score”.
Was thinking that too.
But.
It’s still only a full shot adjustment. So the burglar can burgle away some more.

Hack2489ParticipantI played at Sanctuary Cove as a member’s guest.
It was genuinely one of my very top few best ever days at golf.
Playing with Dad, Placegetter and accepting a very late call up, a bloke who I played with all of the time at Piney who I haven’t seen or played with in too long a time.
So many reasons for it to be the best day, I loved it so much and Placegetter is still the most awesome human in the whole world. Some home course advantage helped him rave to an insurmountable lead of 21 shots by half way. He was just too good in the end.
There must be something to this not drinking business. It felt like all of my Christmases came today so that’s why I decided to post it here in this thread, sounds good yeah?
First hole of the day, smashed 3 wood, flicked up a lob wedge to a few feet for a tap in bird.
I was ready to finish there, obviously the course was going to be too easy.Have I mentioned it was a great day?
A. Yes, good place for the write-up.
B. Less alcohol on course has improved my scores. Questionable about the enjoyment factor, but my liver is thankful.
C. Can you elaborate on how one can ‘rave’ to such a lead… did you go via the Falls Festival?
D. What was you final score? And, how did Dad go?
E. No mention of what you were wearing, or any such lead up, ah … ‘discussion’? WTF?
A. I was looking for a really random unrelated thread to post this into, but it turns out that the day was better than Christmas so it came in here
B. I play better when I drank more, lots better actually. I have lots of LOLs out loud anyway, but still play better drinkered.
C. was an autocorrect or a typo, I had meant to type race. It was a far less exciting story than you’d hoped.
D. 82. I will ask Dad what he had because I didn’t see his card.
E. It was an Oakley shirt, dark grey coloured back with sort of splashes and radio-like waves of yellow on the front. Grey shorts with my new belt.
Because I had such a big day on New year’s Day, what I was wearing became very much an after thought, I wasn’t 100% sold on my choice so there wasn’t the good conscious to proudly announce what I was wearing. The lack of pre-round golf attire discussion is alarming. Did this perhaps contribute to your score?
And, one follow up question:
How’s your lawn? Lush and green? Or suffering from lack of water?

I did hit big dog soooo much better my last game when I was drinking more than I ever should have, let alone while playing. Today with less drinks it wasn’t as good, I know that I definitely play better drinkered.
I had an 82. Sorry to let you down Commish.
4 over on the front nine and then I had a few doubles on the back. It wasn’t a comp game so the score and shot selection to a large extent was irrelevant. We still always obviously cared and kept score but I wasn’t worried.
Dad was more interested in donating balls to the dams to worry the scorers. He did drive very well though and because I didn’t have his card I have no idea what he scored haha
Answered like a politician; dodge the questions and but gave further information to sway the audience.
So, when do you go for preselection?

Hack2489ParticipantIn any case, here’s my report of today’s effort.
After two 13 point halves on Tues, I opened with 14 points on the front and followed up with 20 points on the back nine.
No 3-putts, but four 1-putts (3 on the back). Why not start your own journey / journal thread in the practice area to report the details.
I think the approach Weeti takes is good. He posts a score summary in the relevant thread (weekend or weekday) and puts his detail in his journal / journey thread.

That’s not entirely correct.
We do have this thread going ‘on the deck’:

Hack2489ParticipantI went back over some old lesson notes in preparation for my upcoming lesson on Tuesday. Why haven’t I done this sooner?
I went to the range to try a few things. Mixed results.
The course was empty so I thought why not wander a few holes. I got around 9 holes with multiple shots from various, approach shot, locations as that’s what I was working on…
FMD. I have an ability to ruin a good drive. Or even a well placed 2nd shot on a par 5. WTF is with this?
I suspect it’s mental. Like I get too anxious or tense or focus on the outcome too much, or something. I need to figure this out. It’s bloody frustrating!

Hack2489ParticipantWhat are the dates for 2020?
30 days has September, April, June and November. All the rest have 31, except February which has 28 or something like that.
29 days in February this year.
Keep up, man.
