CommishParticipantLeft school at 15 in 5th form, now year 11. (Alternative was getting kicked out after a metalwork teacher threw a cold chisel at me for not paying attention while he was talking to the class. Apparently it is not kosher to deck a teacher.) Worked as a general hand at Fielders Bakery for 10 months while I waited to join the Police Cadets. Did that on 6/12/70 at age 16 and there I remained until 16/8/13 when I was signed off. So yeah, pretty much a one stop shop for me.
CommishParticipantHey Blokes & Sheilas
Have 2 spots free (with me and pepps) for the 18th Jan 2020 at 9:36 AM at New Brighton Lakes Golf Club. So anyone keen to see the new layout hit me up and PM me your Golflink.
Cheers big ears
PM sent

CommishParticipantHas there been a little work going on in the background??? Private messaging now……
Thanks for noticing
It’s always been there but hard to find and notifications didn’t work. A couple more little things getting fixed to
Yeah, I have sent a few but I doubt the recipients even knew they were there. Little steps, I’m sure it will all fall into place over time.

CommishParticipantMy favourite part is how we have two threads exactly the same, and how there is now a second in the Golf Course section of the forum ….
That doesn’t make any sense. Why would anyone want to talk about what happened ON THE GOLF COURSE, in the Golf Course thread?
I also make some strange decisions when I am drinking Pasito early in the morning
Understandable… you should have stuck with the Bundy!!

CommishParticipantBloody sucks mate
Maybe look up swings for older golfers which often involve more arms and less twisting
Yep… Set up slightly closed and open right hip at set up. Allows for a 3/4 swing, good firing of the left hip and good clearance at contact. No improvement in distance, but control improved and excess strain on back reduced. 15.1 to 13.8 in 3 weeks and getting some consistency for once. Hope I haven’t spoken to soon.
Hang in there Hack. Learning to enjoy what you can do will lead to better results anyway. They may not be as good as what you desired, but hey, how often do we get what we wished for. Raquel Welch still hasn’t rang me..
Raquel has missed out badly!

CommishParticipantThankfully I’m not sitting on the deck drinking alone! But, I do question some of the drink choices!
Nothing wrong with any of them that I can see. As I have finished my first pint, I think I will have a Byron Bay Lager to cleans the palate before moving on to my next choice. To that end, could you also get them to set the temprite 2 degs lower for the 4 Pines I shall be ordering in the near future.
I’m not sure we’re regular locals enough to influence the temperature adjustment, yet. But, as a new establishment they might have conducted good customer service training, so may be open to suggestions and know how to politely tell you to fuck off without offending.
Go ask and we’ll sit back over here and watch the entertainment.
Nothing is a problem in this fine establishment. Temp control adjustment completed on the 4 Pines header to 2.7 deg and enjoying same at present. I am also impressed that any beer or spirit that it is possible to buy in Oz, (and some that aren’t) is available over the bar. A unique watering hole indeed.

We will put on your house account as usual Mr Commish sir
Thank you young man, most obliging. If it is not too much trouble, can I get you to add another. This glass seems to have a leak in it somewhere.
CommishParticipantAt the old place the time of your post was about 10/20 minutes out….now it’s an hour behind…..are we posting QLD time??
They’ll catch up in a few months..
