I’m sure you’ve tried Dickens cider.

If it was more than two days ago I can’t remember. But I can safely say it was more than two days ago.

Rekorderlig… and no it is not as good as Mercury IMHO having had a couple of both. Haven’t tried the Dickens, None are as good as BEER or Bundy for that matter. .

    …. End rekorderlig.

Even I prefer to have a Dickens cider than a Bundy.
Sometimes the Bundy helps me get my Dickens.

Sometimes they need to be pretty drunk to let me have my Dickens

Ah yes… I missed the subtle innuendo from the master.

I’m sure you’ve tried Dickens cider.

Apparently it’s not as good as beer!

    Well nearly.

    I mean $10,000 a week

That might be there total booking for Australia per week, doubt it is how much they made. If Iseekgolf.com was making $10K per week profit, then a buy out price for the entire thing of $2M payable over a 10 year period in quarterly instalments works wonderfully in the favour of GOLFNOW. To me it looks more like a MPower MSL offload of a not so good operational cost.

    How was it gents?
More about the course, but happy to hear about carnage

Layout is quite interesting and for the big hitters requires using the grey matter off the tee. From memory, I think Tony only hit driver on 3 occasions and Sid possibly 4. But when you hit your 3W and 2i as far as they do… who needs driver. Fairways were patchy due to lack of water on them. But they did have preferred lies through the green. Mind you I think fairway would have been good enough. Oh and they have this wonderful thing of a conservation area where you get a free drop if you go into the hazard. Love it, saved us all a couple of strokes. Course works it’s way around and rarely do you go up one fairway and back down and adjacent. Plenty of tight dog legs requiring you to be on the correct side of the fairway off the tee of be blocked by trees. Probably only 3 holes where you can go via the cape and land on an adjacent fairway and have a shot back onto the correct one. Most of the time you are in trees or hazard if you are too wayward.

Most of the dams were nearly dry with the only full one being adjacent to the clubhouse and is obviously just there for the visual affect with the water fountains and such. Hard to believe they do not have a water licence to pump from the Georges River which runs alongside the course. Greens were quite good and receptive if not a tad slow, but that is to be expected with most clubs leaving their grass coverage a little longer with the weather of late. Quite a few of them had elephants buried in them which could/did make for some very interesting pin placements. Although only a Par 70 off the whites with a slope of 132, it would appear to be quite a beast off the plates. Would definitely like to play it again and it was suggested as possibly a good venue for a NSW OOM course due to it’s accessibility by road for most and there would seem to be no problem in getting tee times on a Sunday morning.

As for the carnage…. I had the best score on the day so that will tell you just about everything. Tony hates their bunkers… Sid actually hit some great short irons for the first 3 holes and then found his old form. The say it is a tale of 2 x 9’s. Tony had 28 pts.. see if you can guess what he had on each 9. I think Sid had 32 pts and I had 36.

Had been battling dementia for past decade. Brilliant creative foil for Cleese’s aggressive style. I owe Pythons for whatever sense of humour I possess. Vale TJ 🤗

There are many things to like about you Chuck, but your innate and quirky sense of humour is one of them. Now I know why.

Love everything Pythonian and Jones was a huge influencing part of how they initially developed and progressed their skits. As individuals they were/are all brilliant in different forms of comedy. Together they were unmatched in comedic genius. We have not and never will see their kind again.

A lot of fond memories in the old stomping ground and just a couple I would rather forget. I am sure the new stomping ground will provide just as many if not more of the fond and less of the other. Business decisions are made for the good of the business, so I would say it was the right one for MPower MSL, but I would think as the forums would not generate any revenue for Golfnow, their demise is assured.
