groups pf 2 should be able to get round in under 3hrs so might have some fast rounds.

Home track has a 3hr 15min time frame for 18 holes with a 5min break at halfway. Vast majority are well within the allocated time frame.
Comps are all single stab with tee times from 6.30am to 2.00pm each day. Previously it was members only, but as of next week Mon and Wed comps have been opened up to members guest with all the same social distancing rules in place.

And loving the 4 putt story from Sid. Especially the bit about being a half decent putter. Sorry buddy

Just as well he drove the green though, christ knows what he would have scored if he had put a wedge in his hand at some point.

    sorry Snorks..

Yes, but I think even Sid will admit that they are his mystery clubs. You, or more to the point, He, just never knows what is going to happen. Generally, not what he expects..

A bit like every club that I put in my hand at present..:(

Did some quick gazinta’s on my averages for rounds played this year. (22)

    Average Score…. 28.15

Average Daily Handicap 16.2 (Lowest 14….. Highest 20)

    Average Played to 20.9.

With 3 low flags 13.4 & 2 x 13.8 to drop in my next 3 rounds to be replaced by scores above 19, I am going to need to play some REALLL serious golf to replace those if I am any hope of attaining my goal for the end of June.

You are NOT good at this game!!

I have to agree with you there. My problem is playing 10x as much as you do and still doing the “One Step Forward – Two Steps Back” dance.

why not just jump on a plane, spend two weeks in isolation working from home exactly as you are now, then after that you’re right to play golf as must as your heart desires, while still working from home before and after each round?
That will be the quickest way you get to play and it then means you’re up here anyway where it’s nicer

that took a few of my IQ points to come up with that fool-proof plan, doesn’t leave many so can you please bring some more on your way up too, cheers.

Jump on a plane eh,,, are they still flying???

My handicap hasn’t moved…..since the last update. (Not sure if that’s good or bad???) 😉

Just like Barnesy, you have to play first. At least you have an excuse though..Just think, by the time you get to hit another ball, all your bad habits will have disappeared. Just in time for a new lot to emerge..:(

Goal reached. What to do now? Be happy to try and defend it or be a bit more aggressive?

See where you are at 30/6/20, if necessary reset to what you then consider is an achievable goal for 31/12/20.

Unless I can pull off some good scores in the next 5 rounds, I am about to lose some of my lowest flags and can see myself going backwards real quick, which may necessitate a rehash of what is actually achievable in the back half of the year.

Sort of the Anglo Saxon version of this bloke..

They were different is style some may say, but were they really?? A relatively long watch, but in my view…. well worth it.
