    Very subjective list indeed…working at Elanora (48) I am a bit bewildered by the comment of “It’s a shame that all three of the short par-4s play, to varying degrees, uphill. The relief they could provide to an otherwise relentless test is missing as a result.” …who wants piss easy holes?

    If they were downhill they’d be long par 3’s! The 3rd, is rated easiest hole on course, so there’s a bit of relief on the relentless test! Your drive on the 8th is the determining factor to a good score there. The structure of the green makes up for the shortness of the hole on 14. All of them are driveable to the gorillas.

    How Belmont comes in at 94 and beats 6 other courses is mind boggling, there are far better courses in (Sydney) NSW than Belmont that didn’t make the list.

    Anyway, no doubt, the Golf Digest list will be different again to this one.

    Welcome all to our very first event, a new beginning and a new format. The WBT has been put into retirement and we will now be playing an Order Of Merit type competition to determine just who is the the biggest COC in L4G NSW.

    Hope to see you all and some new faces as well…enjoy the ride!

    Round 1 of the brand new L4G OOM series will be held at WOLLONGONG GOLF CLUB, SUNDAY MARCH 1ST, 10.30am tee off.

    Cost will be $65.00* (Visitors $70.00), includes Green fee, WGC and L4G NSW Comp fees, NO PAY ON THE DAY AVAILABLE! except for NTP’s = $2 each…please bring coinage!
    *Playing members of Wollongong GC only need to pay to me our comp fee of $10.00 Any fees that the club charges are to be paid by the member directly to the club.

    We are limited to 12 players and entries will be on a first come first served basis. Visitors (non L4G FORUM MEMBERS) are welcome however cannot enter the OOM. If you want a cart you must arrange and pay for it yourself through the pro shop.

    Cancellation of booking Conditions:
    Any cancellations after February 22, you have the option to put it towards the NEXT L4G NSW Golf Day*. If not you have done your dough, fees will be deposited into the L4G NSW Prize Pool Funds.
    (Refunds under extenuating circumstances will be considered by the committee)
    *Only the very next event, not holding money forever!

    Note to any “penciled” entries….in limited place fields, your spots, if needed, can be taken by someone else who confirms and pays up before you.

    This event will be Golflinked so please include your GL number (if I haven’t already got it) in your PM to me for banking details (same bank details as previous events)
